Look at that fleet of cars, does it not belong to the just-past commissioner of police? I wonder why he is still using a fleet of cars. To make it even worse, a medical team and security personnel have been added to the fleet.
Ah, when are we going to stop this immunity to the people causing us harm? For how long? How long shall corruption thrive? How long shall we rise to do the right thing?
How long shall we honour only those who are heroes?
The heroes of emancipation
The heroes who made healthcare accessible
The heroes who sacrificed their time and efforts for great inventions
Some of them do not have a good car, let alone a fleet of cars.
Their inventions have been swept under the carpet.
Some have been forgotten.
Some are still living, waiting for the day of their remembrance.
This voice was beginning to trouble me, sounding like one who is angry and bitter over things going wrong.

So, I looked over the window and behold Pa Chinedu, a one-time known politician in our neighbourhood, but now has quietly retired because of his inability to sustain the wave of man know man in the realms of power.
I shook my head and slumped back into my bed.
