Where Wounds Heal.

“Door to Somewhere,” I wish I had one that would take me back in time, because there are so many things I wouldn't correct to avoid major consequences.

^Doors

In this regard, I remembered the American science fiction film Parallels (2015), conceived as a television pilot about a group of people who travel between alternate universes upon entering a building that moves between dimensions. Another one that caught my attention was “The Game of Doors,” which refers to the title of an article published in Código Cine magazine that analyzes the film “The Souvenir” (2019) and its sequel “The Souvenir Part II” (2021), directed by Joanna Hogg. This also highlights how the concept of “doors” is used to symbolize the barriers and decisions in the life of the protagonist, Julie, as well as the revelatory discoveries and traumas that lead her to transform into an artist and a person.

Those doors that lead me to the exact points to avoid a tragedy like the death of someone whose 11 years of your life were cut short, innocently. Or the birth of a daughter, anticipating the illness that would cause her to leave this earth prematurely.
