Thus, a male peacock will open his tail to any female, whether he has a mate or not, because they cannot distinguish him.

So, there are many "male" homo sapiens that do not show an adequate behavior after so many years of evolution and that guy was one of those.

It's the price of being married to a very pretty woman, I imagine.
