Yes, the thought of children suffering under the burden of war is terrifying. For the individuals not involved in making decisions to create the situations, it does give one pause.

When I pray for certain nations, knowing that there are some adults who have chosen their damnation, I often let the Lord know that I remember what He did in sparing Nineveh, in which there were 120,000 souls who did not know their right hand from their left -- very little children, about whom He said "I HAVE 120,000 souls" ... only He can put out these fires, because warmongers and profiteers do not care about children.
