The story beings with Navier who always had the dream of becoming empress, since childhood she has been in good terms with the crown prince they always had a good time and grew up together. Everyone thought they are good for each other and soon they got married. Navier is a strong lady who knows how to do her own things and very independent which is the reason of her broken marriage. One day the crown prince brought a girl with him, Navier got information about that girl being a slave, she didn't want to worry about it at all as she's married to the crown prince and She's the empress.
Also her mother advised her that things like this will happen as all men are the same, eventually they have affairs and Navier must bear with it. But Nevier was still feeling empty inside even though she already had made up her mind. On the other hand the slave girl Rashta arrived at Navier's place she kept disrespecting Nevier and pulled her dress in result the lady-in-waiting of Navier slapped the hand of Rashta. When Navier called her the new slave someone corrected her that she's not a servant which means she's the mistress of the crown prince.
Navier's lady-in-waiting got punished to stay in prison for 3 days, when Navier disagreed he didn't listen to her at all. He just couldn't bear seeing Rashta cry so he decided to punish the person who made her cry. Navier was kind lady she cared for everyone who worked for her and loyal for her. She's not gonna let go of her people who served her with heart, the emperor got upset about it and they had a heated argument. He never confronted Navier himself that he's taking Rashta as his mistress.
As time passed it was revealed that emperor didn't like Navier being bold as she's never listening to him and he liked Rashta more because of it and he decided to divorce Nevier. He wants to marry Rashta because she's naive, clumsy who always listens to him. In real Rashta was pretending to be dumb and tried to make things for hard for Navier. Well, Navier did not also waste her time, she agreed to the divorce and requested for the permission for remarriage. She had already decided to marry another emperor to regain her title again....
To be honest the storyline is very good, it's not something that I would get bored of only because of the female lead. She's a baddie who does not fear anything, yes She emotional but she also knows how to control it. Even though their marriage was for convenience but still I feel that the crown prince was a guy with fragile ego. I think he couldn't take it how brave, intelligent and beautiful Navier was and for that reason he kept looking for someone who is helpless. He likes to be the hero of someone's story of a girl who is dumb and does not know anything so that he can help her out.
It feels like he is living in a delulu version where he thinks he's so great that girls should be the weakest one and he's gonna save them. I feel he's the most dumb character in this manhwa, I truly hate his guts. I really hate him from the bottom of my heart only because of fragile ego, I personally don't like brainless female leads and I prefer the smart one. But the crown prince wants someone brainless so yeah he's way out of Navier's league. I feel she's on higher level than the ex husband of her. I think she needs to show him his place and the mistress as well.
I just want to see how she takes over everything with the other emperor and take revenge on her ex husband and his mistress who he would be marrying. By reading this manhwa you will have some self growth like this manhwa is gonna help you a lot I believe. I just can't accept the fact that Navier said the Emperor is full kindness that's why he brought such lady but no she's wrong it's because he needs Rashta to take care of his fragile ego.
I like the artstyle, it's very unique I have seen this type of artstyle in anime but it was long ago and this manhwa was giving some old time vibes through the artstyle. "The Remarried Empress" is a great manhwa with good plots, there are currently 237 chapters and it's still on-going. There are so many chapters so start reading today. By the genre tag I can already guess there's going to be romance and lot's of fun.
