The story begins with the Lowreis family who were accused of attempting to murder the royal family. The daughter Linali and her twin brother Liam was the only people alive, both of their parents were killed already. A tall dark hair colored guy appeared who is known as the crown prince, his name is Dylan.
He ordered the soldier's to behead her younger brother Liam Infront of her and it was her turn next. Dylan was smiling and ordered them to behead her as well, Linali is now on verge of death, the only thing she wished was to keep her brother alive. She revealed how Liam was bullied where he studied but Linali didn't know about it.
This all started because of crown prince and she blames him for her family's death, she thinks it was crown prince Dylan's conspiracy. Before dying Linali was wishing one thing and that is to go back in time and change everything. Her wish was granted she was sent back in the past 3 years ago.
She found herself on bed and saw her brother alive, she decides to change her brothers fate as he is about to join the entrance ceremony. Liam expressed how he is not into swordsmanship but his sister is so good at it, if she was a guy she could have achieved a good position.
This made Linali realize that she's going to go to the school of Poltis in disguise. She doesn't want her brother to be bullied again as she's good at swordsmanship she wants to help him by replacing him. Linali's father at first was not agreeing but later he gave her permit for only 1 year. Linali cuts off her long pink hair and dressed up as a boy to the school.
Linali knows the future so she decides to avoid crown prince at any cost but in the end she still grabbed his attention alongside the other guys in his club. Will Linali be able survive in this circumstance as pretending to be a boy? Or will her identity get revealed?
I found the story interesting so far, it's not unique of course the trope is really common, disguising as a boy is very common. I have read many stories where woman decides to pretend as a man. Even though I have read plenty of it, I still find it amusing and entertaining. I really don't care if the trope is similar, all that matters to me is that if the story is good enough. I don't admire the artwork of this manhwa, I feel they are average, sometimes the facial expressions are hilarious so I'm enjoying it pretty much.
To be honest I really hate the crown prince, he is just like a brat who likes to nag all day long. He is so bossy, I know he's crown prince but he is not kind so I don't like it when the male leads are being trash. If I see any development in the crown prince then I might start liking him and shift him with Linali. But there are many more guys in the manhwa, I think with time they will reveal about the other characters personality and I'm.excited for it.
I thought Linali is very smart and bold, but she's still very dumb. She's not that careful about people finding about her little secret, she just thinks everything will go as her plan so I think she needs to touch some grass. I really am liking her connection with the white hair guy who's name is Kyle. I am still wondering if he is the male lead or it's the crown prince. I would not like it if the crown prince wins over the female lead.
Another thing came into my mind, is the crown prince into guys? Because Linali is pretending to be. Guy and crown prince is showing interested so I'm really confused about what he would prefer. I think eventually crown prince will fall for Linali but I don't want her to fall in love with him. I really want her to be with Kyle and I believe he can be the male lead but still now I'm not sure who's going to be the game changer.
If you're into manhwa where you see the protagonist getting alive again and taking a sort of revenge and changing the past for better then "The Reason for the Twin Lady's Disguise" manhwa is for you. Currently there are 110 chapters and it's all free so you can peacefully read it online. I would definitely continue reading this manhwa because it's truly a good one. I'm totally hooked with each chapter and there's a bit of comedy, not all of the scenarios are that serious.
