Greetings community of @theanimerealmToday I come to talk to you about an anime that I remembered recently and I wanted to leave my impressions of it; it is that style of story that you like, but you do not end up convincing, because they gave too much back to the subject, coupled with the lack of depth, that is, it had a potential that they did not know how to take advantage of it. In spite of it, it has its good touch, that's how I consider it.
Original series produced by P.A.Works, was released for the year 2018, under the direction of Masahiro Andō and a script executed by Keigo Koyanagi. Anime that falls into the genres of action and suspense.
The story takes place in 1930's Tokyo, where the young Yuily, together with a group of “Jaegers”, chase a group of vampires that left China and fled to Japan; all under a secret mission, hiding their weapons under the shape of instruments. Yuily seems to be a normal boy, but in reality he is a werewolf, who is marked by a tragic past, where vampires wiped out the entire Dogville village and his family.
For this reason, he joins this group of vampire hunters to prevent these evil beings to rule the world, besides, the destruction of Sirius' clan is due to the search for an ancestral object, which would help them to obtain the maximum technological knowledge of the world. However, he will find several armed surprises on his way, which will make him falter. Will they be able to stop these cruel beings from achieving their goal? What is the destiny that awaits young Yuily?
Personally, I am very attracted to stories related to vampires and werewolves, being the main reason why I decided to watch it, besides an animation that attracted me. The story, at the beginning, felt well planned, followed an adequate rhythm, starting to focus on something in particular, but, about halfway, I think rather before, it began to lose sense and did not deepen the facts, example of this is that it fails to understand the origin of the jaegers, many things at the same time put that ended up affecting the pace and development of the plot, in addition to the little solidity in their characters.
Even so, for the aesthetics that it had, it was very good, even the battle shots are decent, but beyond that animation that it presented, it is not a story that allows to have a stable group of fans and to be remembered for a long time, in short, it lacked polish; perhaps if it had had a second season where they compensated for those failures, it would be a well spoken series. As for the music, for me I loved it, it was one of the openings I listened to the most at the time and both that and its ending, were in line with the story, they are still one of my favorites.
6/10 Story │ 8.5/10 Animation │ 10/10 Sound │ 8.5/10 Character design │ 8.5/10 Overall.
Sirius the Jaeger had a lot of potential to stand out among all the stories that anime have given us, but they didn't know how to take advantage of it, they put as many things, as the saying goes “less is more”, if they had focused on certain things that stood out and developed it with a good rhythm, really this anime would have had its 10/10, because the action scenes are very good, but it declined so much, they resorted to many clichés. However, this is just my point of view and if you would like to give it a chance to watch it, just to be entertained for a while and if you manage to understand that ending, to explain it to me.

I heard about this one and the truth is that I was very interested in it at the time, I thought the character design was very good but I also heard a lot about the loss of the main focus, I think you described it well, greetings! 💗
😊 Muchas gracias.
It lost its focus mostly in the middle of the story, then there's like a lot of messing around, but the action scenes were worth watching it finished. 😊 Thank you very much.
Yes, it's one of those stories that thrills you at the beginning and then abruptly loses steam, leaving you with a half-hearted ending. With a better pitched script, it would have been a memorable anime. 😊
Vampires! That theme does really fascinate me and it's been a long time since I watched one (maybe? or it just felt so long ahahaha)...The settings somehow give off a little Vanitas vibe, so I'm really intrigued. The visuals also look nice and like what you've mentioned, the animation looks promising. This one has been sitting long on my to-watch list (that keeps on getting longer lol), but hopefully, I can try watching this soon and finally lessen my list -_-
I love Vanitas, it's one of my favorite anime and I love its style. This one has a similar style, its only flaw was the plot structure, like a lot of everything and at the same time nothing. But, that's my point of view, that's why I want others to give it a chance and can appreciate its action scenes. 😊
like a lot of everything and at the same time nothing
Aww, I see. Many action anime do really succumb to that flaw. Their concepts and themes were promising and even the visuals are engaging, but in the end, it will not get the appreciation it deserved because of its rather lacking plot. It's really a shame, but I'll try giving this a chance and maybe it'll unexpectedly stick fine with me.
I don't usually watch stories about vampires and such, they almost always end up boring me, but the ones I've seen have been because of the character design, it's impossible not to fall in love with some of them even if I don't like the anime haha this one looks like it could be something like that for me 😂
I loved the design and I still love it, its only flaw was the bad organization of the plot structure, otherwise it has very well executed action scenes. The truth is an anime that had great potential. 😊
