There was a time when I was obsessed with watching stories about gods from any mythology, be it Greek, Egyptian, or any other. I don't know why, but I was somewhat obsessed. Then I came across one about Loki, a Norse god, and with Marvel movies being so popular at the time, I didn't hesitate to watch it. Despite its age, it caught my attention, and that's what I'm going to talk about today. So, here are my impressions.
Matantei loki ragnarok (魔探偵ロキ RAGNAROK)…
Released in 2003, directed by Hiroshi Watanabe and produced by Studio DEEN; created by Sakura Kinoshita, it is a fantasy, Norse mythology, and comedy series.
Regarding the plot…
The story centers on Loki, the Norse god of mischief, who ends up being banished from the world of the gods (Asgard) by Odin, the Allfather. His reason is unknown, but besides being forced to take the form of a child, in order to return he will have to collect enough evil spirits, which will restore not only his power but also Asgard itself.
To that end, he founds a detective agency with his assistant-son Ryusuke Yamino, as this will allow him to stay on top of the most mysterious cases that come his way. In one of his cases, he meets our protagonist, Mayura Daidoji, a somewhat intense girl who is extremely interested in paranormal and mysterious phenomena, which is why Loki's agency captures her interest. From here, the three of them will solve numerous cases where, little by little, other characters appear who will seek to eliminate Loki. An anime full of unusual detective adventures, myths, and much more.
Personal opinion
Although Mayura seems intense to me at first, her relationship with Loki grows on me, and many other characters are very well received for their charisma and personality. Its visual style, that is, its animation, evokes nostalgia, and the character designs suit each one, especially Loki in his adult version; I think he was a favorite for many.
Despite being an anime that's interesting because of its Norse mythology theme, delving a bit into its history, its comedy and drama ultimately win you over. However, my biggest disappointment was the ending. I understand that the manga has more explanations and the battles are more epic, and that the anime rushed things, deviating from the manga. Therefore, I feel like something was missing, something that would have completely satisfied me. I wanted more, especially regarding the relationship between Mayura and Loki. I feel the story had much more potential to explore because the characters have so much to offer, and the plot didn't feel rushed at times.
Positive points…

Negative points…
-The difference from the manga, leaving many unsatisfied.

Hubo un tiempo en el que, estaba deseando ver puras historias de dioses de cualquier mitología, ya sea la griega, egipcia o la que fuera, no sé porque, pero si estaba algo obsesionada, en ello me topa con una que habla de Loki, un dios nórdico y pues, con las películas de Marvel en su momento que estaban en gran auge, pues no dude en verla, a pesar del tiempo de su estreno, si me llamo la atención y es de las que les vengo hablar hoy, así que, aquí les dejo mis impresiones de la misma.

Estrenada para el año 2003, bajo la dirección de Hiroshi Watanabe y su estudio a cargo fue Studio DEEN; su creador es Sakura Kinoshita y es de genero fantasía, mitología nórdica y comedia.
En cuanto a la trama…
La historia se centra en Loki, el dios nórdico de las travesuras, quién termina siendo desterrado del mundo de los dioses (Asgard) por Odín, padre de todo, su motivo, se desconoce, solo que además de ser forzado a adoptar la forma de un niño, para poder volver tendrá que recolectar suficientes espíritus malignos, que le devolverá no solo su poder, también a Asgard.
Para ello, funda una agencia de detectives con su ayudante-hijo Ryusuke Yamino, ya que esto le permitirá estar al tanto de los casos más misteriosos que lleguen a él, en uno de sus casos conoce a nuestra protagonista, Mayura Daidoji, una chica algo intensa que está sumamente interesada en los fenómenos paranormales y misteriosos, por la que la agencia de Loki captura su interés. A partir de aquí, los 3 resolverán numerosos casos en donde va pareciendo poco a poco, otros personajes que buscaran eliminar a Loki, un anime lleno de aventuras detectivescas fuera de lo común, mitos y mucho más.
Opinión personal
Aunque al principio se me hace intensa la Mayura, pues su relación con Loki va agradándome, aunado que muchos otros personajes son muy bien recibidos, por su carisma y personalidad. Su estilo visual, es decir, su animación, me da nostalgia y, los diseños de los personajes van acorde a cada uno, sobre todo Loki en versión de adulto, creo que era el favorito de muchos.
A pesar de ser un anime que resulta interesante por el tema de la mitología nórdica, adéntranos un poco a la historia de los mismos, su comedia y drama te terminan de convencer, sin embargo, mi gran disgusto fue el final, entiendo que en el manga hay más explicaciones y es más épicas las batallas y que se apresuraron en el anime, desviándose del manga. Por ello, creo que me falto como que algo, que me terminara de convencer, yo quería más, sobre todo con la relación de Mayura y Loki, siento que la historia tenia mucho más por explotar, porque sus personajes dan para ello, agregando de que no se sintiera apresurado en ocasiones la trama.
Puntos positivos…
-Una temática atractiva que, pudo ser explorada mucho más.
-Estilo visual nostálgico.
-Personajes que cautivan.
Puntos negativos…
-La diferencia con el manga, dejando insatisfecho a muchos.
-Ritmo inconsistente y lento.

Sus fallas en el ritmo y que su final no fue digno, su historia que une lo detective con lo mitológico, además de las interacciones de sus personajes, te terminan convenciendo de terminar de verlo. Es una serie que vale la pena ser vista, por lo menos una vez.
