RE: Fire Force Season 1: The Spark That Ignited the Flame

in The Anime Realm2 days ago

I've had some little problems related to lack of motivation to write

I really relate to this one because I've been in a slump with making reviews lately. Every time I try to write something, I just end up deleting it because it feels that it lacks substance. Anyway, reading this made me realize that I should try again later and hopefully, I can make a better one.

Ok, ok anyway... Fire Force! I completed watching season one, but I dropped it somewhere in season two because I find the fan service definitely distracting. Plotwise, it was intriguing and interesting but those weird ecchi really got me annoyed and I wasn't used seeing those fan services. Also, Tamaki is one of the characters I really like because her ability was so cool, but unfortunately, as eps went on it seems she was reduced to a mere fan service character. It wasn't entertaining to watch her get those perverted luck scenes so I dropped it that time.

However, now I'm curious because I somehow got spoiled with how it went in manga, and I have a lot of questions regarding it and I think it would be entertaining to watch it in anime. Setting that weird fanservice, the action scenes in Fire Force were also fireeeee! I like how you highlighted Benimaru and his squad! Those people were so cool and how they responded to those combustion incidents was something else. The fluidity of the motion and the utilization of angles in fight scenes were really amazing...so I'm having second thoughts now. Is it worth rewatching and finishing now?

Btw, thanks for sharing, I really enjoyed reading this review!

Even when you feel that what you write "lacks of substance", you should finish it, read it again and start editing what you feel you need to change. That's what I do. I start writing and then creativity hits when I read it again. Try it, you'll see it works.

About the ecchi thing, I felt the same way when watching Highschool DXD and I dropped it, but in that case I didn't find anything else worthy to keep watching it. It was different with Fire Force, because this story is intriguing and make me wonder what happens next, that's why I kept watching and decided to re-watch from the beginning.

Thank you for reading my review, I really appreciate it.

Oh I see, I see... I'll see if I can do that. The lack of substance wasn't the sole issue of my slump, but also the lack of motivation. But anyway I'll try doing this one later.

You tried Highschool DXD! Ahahhaha I almost fell into that trap before because one of my otaku friends recommended it strongly saying that it's definitely beginner-friendly, I was still new to anime culture at that time and I almost believed him. Fortunately, I encountered a post about it on the fb page I followed, and there I discovered in the comment sec the truth about it lol...

Anyway, I'm not saying Fire Force is the same with it because those two are entirely different—especially plot-wise. Even though I dropped or left it before, I'm having second thoughts on whether to continue or rewatch it again...I still remembered the main plot tho, but I think it would be better if I rewatched it :) Btw, you're welcome!
