I love time travel stories that change tragic fates, and from what you've said, the dynamic between Evenrose and Michael sounds incredibly interesting. I love that she, being royalty, has such empathy for the homunculi and seeks to change the system from within; it adds a deeper moral layer than your typical fantasy romance.
