I Watched With One Eye Opened : Redo Of Healers.

I decided to see Redo Of Healers Yesterday , and to be honest I’m still trying to decide whether I should admit that publicly or pretend I only heard about it from ā€œonline discourseā€ because the day I pressed play, I wasn’t just prepared in any way, I thought it would be one of those dark fantasy anime where the hero suffers, rises, trains hard, and takes revenge in a dramatic but reasonable manner, you know… normal trauma, but Redo of Healer said no , it took the regular revenge formula, squeezed it and flipped it upside down, and added pepper, ginger, and sheer madness.

So let me just say it plainly, this anime is not for the faint hearted or the soft hearted or the easily offended, or really for anyone who still believes in traditional hero arcs, but somehow, I still watched it to the end, sitting there like someone who walked into a room by mistake but didn’t want to leave immediately because that would draw attention.

The plot follows Keyaru, a healing magician who gets abused , extremely by the very heroes he is supposed to work with, they use him, torture him, manipulate him, and treat him like some kind of magical resource instead of a human being, so at first, when I saw how unfairly they treated him, I felt bad for him, and you know healing magic is usually portrayed as the soft magic, the gentle person who helps everyone and gets tired easilt, but in this anime? healing magic is basically the cheat code of cheat codes, the kind of thing you give a final boss accidentally.

So Keyaru survives all the trauma, develops resistance to drugs and manipulation, and then and this is where things get crazy he unlocks the ability to reset time, bback to zero, A full restart, so Imagine suffering heavily and getting a second chance at life with all the memories of who wronged you and how, he decides he is going to get revenge in the most painful, creative, and morally questionable ways possible.

And this is where the anime loses all shame.

Keyaru doesn’t do gentle revenge, he doesn’t even do regular revenge, he does ā€œAre you sure you want to keep watching?ā€ revenge, so there were moments I paused the episode and just stared at my wall like, ā€œSo this is what we are doing now.ā€ It is messy, explicit, and very… deliberate, If you are used to shows where revenge comes with dignity, healing, and self growth, forget it o, This one has none of that, It is just chaos, payback, and shock value , back to back.

But here’s the funny part, beneath all the madness, I still enjoyed the story, not because of the extreme scenes , those ones I mentally fast forwarded , but because the concept itself is actually interesting, A healer who becomes the strongest character, not by brute force, but by rethinking a power everyone underestimated, a protagonist who refuses to be a victim twice, a world that looks bright on the surface but is rotten underneath, There is something compelling in watching how Keyaru navigates a system that once destroyed him, this time on his own terms.

Another thing I liked is the world-building, the kingdoms, the hero hierarchy, the hidden corruption , all of it creates a setting where revenge feels both justified and inevitable, and even though some characters are straight up villains from the beginning, a few others introduce complexities that make the journey a bit more layered.

But still o, I can’t lie, this is an anime you recommend with a warning label, Bold, bright, red letters, [DO NOT WATCH THIS IF YOU ARE NOT READY] because once you start it, you will probably sit through it just out of curiosity or disbelief, but you will surely never forget what you saw.

So yeah , For me, watching Redo of Healer felt like reading someone’s private diary of revenge fantasies that accidentally turned into a published book, the moral is so lost, the justice is questionable, and the tone is unfiltered… but it gets your attention, and maybe that is just the point, sometimes a story is not trying to be wholesome or inspirational, It’s just trying to show the ugly side of power and what happens when someone gains the ability to rewrite their destiny with no fear or restraint.

So yeah, that’s my experience, Redo of Healer is wild, messy, extreme, and morally absent , but somehow, it is still the kind of anime you don’t forget easily in any way. Will I watch season 2 is it's done? Probably I would , surely..

Wow, your review completely nailed how intense and deranged Redo of Healer is. I like how you described keyaru journey, and the gritty world building. What you say about the strong content is all that’s necessary to inform people what to look for. The way you’re thinking about this makes me interested to see where the story goes even if it’s ridiculous and morally ambiguous.

Lol....
NGL, you will enjoy it, it has a good story line aside the other things involved.
