Did a quick scan as a #dreemerforlife but the spoiler title (thanks for highlighting it though) worried me as I have yet to see the movie. As usual you write well and in my quick pass through I could see the same immaculate prose.so that's good :) I will write a more complete comment on my agreement with your last line after watching the movie :D
Ok watched it on Disney+ so that I could read the post fully. Happy with my curation assumption based on my skimming earlier. Writing is indeed good as usual. A few typos had crept in which I am sure you can fix when you see it. However one typo you might not have realized or spell check might be getting wrong. Her name is Kamala with a 'a' at the end. Kamal is male name.
I agree with your synopsis. Fun superhero movie, tropes were well used, and I did not mind that pathos either. Used to the drama in our Hindi movies after all. I think one of the pushbacks was that it is too woke or something, but I felt the diversity helped. And it was never heavy handed.
Now I feel better and go to sleep :D
