Por aquí les saluda Matías, hoy es la primera vez que escribo en esta comunidad de @hivemargarita, y les vine compartir sobre dos animalitos muy interesantes que me encontré en una excursión que hice con mi familia desde Playa Parguito hasta Puerto Abajo, dos playas que están en Venezuela, específicamente en la isla de Margarita que es donde yo vivo y además me quedan cerquita de mi casa.
Estas playas estan una al lado de la otra, pero están como separadas por un cerro, y nosotros decidimos ir a Puerto Abajo pasando por sobre el cerro en vez de ir por la carretera porque queríamos más un día de aventura que de playa y además no habíamos ido nunca a ese cerro.

Today is the first time I write in this community @hivemargarita, and I came to share with you about two very interesting animals that I found on an excursion I did with my family from **Playa Parguito** to **Puerto Abajo**, two beaches that are in Venezuela, specifically on Margarita Island which is where I live and also they are close to my house.These beaches are next to each other, but they are kind of separated by a hill, and we decided to go to Puerto Abajo going over the hill instead of going by road because we wanted more of an adventure day than a beach day and we had never been to that hill before.
El recorrido lo comenzamos por **Playa Pargüito, e inició a las 10 de la mañana y terminamos a las 12 aproximadamente, ese paseo fue muy divertido, y desde ahí vimos paisajes muy bonitos, y eso que el día estaba nubladísimo, así que se imaginan cómo es cuando no hay tantas nubes y el sol está brillante porque el agua se ve muchísimo más bonita, pero una de las cosas que más me gustaron fueron unos animales que me encontré en una mini playa donde habían muchas rocas y bastantes conchas.
Cuando íbamos caminando vimos dos playitas que estaban entre piedras gigantes y en una se veía que era más fácil bajar y bajamos con cuidado. Es una playa como privada, y tiene muchas rocas enormes y en la orilla se hacían como una piscina mini donde nos metimos un rato a ver cómo estaba el agua, y ahí fue que nos encontramos estos animales que fueron un cangrejo ermitaño y un erizo de mar.
The tour started at **Playa Pargüito, and began at 10 in the morning and ended at 12 approximately, that walk was very fun, and from there we saw very beautiful landscapes, and that the day was very cloudy, so you can imagine how it is when there are not so many clouds and the sun is bright because the water looks much more beautiful, but one of the things that I liked the most were some animals that I found on a mini beach where there were many rocks and many shells.When we were walking we saw two small beaches that were between giant rocks and in one of them it was easier to go down and we went down carefully. It is a private beach, and it has many huge rocks and on the shore there were like a mini pool where we got in for a while to see how the water was, and there was where we found these animals that were a hermit crab and a sea urchin.
Esa fue la primera que logré ver a un erizo de mar y a un cangrejo ermitaño en persona, porque los he visto en programas de National Geographic, o en libros y have tiempo en el museo marino.
Con el cangrejo, yo a primera vista pensé que era una simple concha de mar o hasta un caracol pero cuando estaba apunto de agarrarlo me di cuenta de que le salían unas pequeñas antenas y unas patitas, por lo cual ya sabia que no era un caracol, lo que me dejó sorprendido.
That was the first time I got to see a sea urchin and a hermit crab in person, because I have seen them in National Geographic programs, or in books and I have time in the marine museum.With the crab, at first glance I thought it was a simple sea shell or even a snail but when I was about to grab it I realized that it had small antennae and little legs, so I knew it was not a snail, which left me surprised.
El cangrejo ermitaño es una especie de cangrejo un poco difícil de encontrar, porque viven así en las rocas, pero corrí con la suerte de encontrarlo pegados a esas grandes rocas que estaban casi sumerjidas por el agua. El cangrejo ermitaño se caracteriza por tener un exoesqueleto un poco frágil lo que lo obliga a crear protegerse para vivir y esto lo hace gracias a los caparazones de los caracoles que han muerto donde se meten a vivir y gracias a esto es más difícil que sea la presa de otro tipo de animales marinos, y hasta les permite camuflajearse en el ambiente.
Le tomamos varias fotos y lo pusimos sobre la piedra para esperar que saliera y al ratico se asomó y se puso a caminar y cayó de la roca al agua y ahí lo dejamos y vimos como se iba hacia las rocas.
The hermit crab is a species of crab a little difficult to find, because they live in the rocks, but I was lucky enough to find them attached to these large rocks that were almost submerged by water. The hermit crab is characterized by having a somewhat fragile exoskeleton, which forces it to create protection to live and this it does thanks to the shells of the snails that have died where they get to live and thanks to this it is more difficult to be the prey of other marine animals, and even allows them to camouflage themselves in the environment.We took several pictures of it and put it on the rock to wait for it to come out and after a while it came out and started walking and fell from the rock into the water and we left it there and watched it go towards the rocks.
Cerca de donde encontré al cangrejo ermitaño habían muchos más cangrejos que eran un poco más pequeños pero igual de lindos y curiosos, cuando apenas lo agarré algo caracteristico que puede ver fue que tenía una tenaza muy pequeña mientras que la otra era muy grande, algo lindo que logré ver fue que tenía unos ojitos muy pequeños pero cuando los sacaba de su caparazon se veía muy adorable.
El erizo de mar yo no sabíamo lo que era a primera vista, porque primero parecía que era una flor o una alga pero después decidimos agarrarlo para poder ver más de cerca lo que era para saber si era un animal o solamente una alga, cuando lo sacamos nos dimos cuenta de que era un erizo de mar, el cual se veia muy interesante y bonito. El primero que encontramos era grande y tenía un color como rosado o rojizo en las espinas lo que lo hacía resaltar en el ambiente.
Near where I found the hermit crab there were many more crabs that were a little smaller but just as cute and curious, when I just grabbed it something characteristic that I could see was that it had a very small pincer while the other was very large, something nice that I managed to see was that it had very small eyes but when it took them out of its shell it looked very adorable.The sea urchin I didn't know what it was at first sight, because at first it looked like a flower or a seaweed but then we decided to grab it to get a closer look to see if it was an animal or just a seaweed, when we took it out we realized that it was a sea urchin, which looked very interesting and beautiful. The first one we found was large and had a pink or reddish color on the spines which made it stand out in the environment.
El otro que encontramos era un poco más pequeño pero era más bonito porque en comparación con el otro erizo de mar que tenía las espinas de un tono rojizo este contaba con unas espinas de color fucsia tirando a morado, lo que le permitió esconderse un poco mejor abajo de una piedra que por casualidad de la vida decidí levantarla para ver lo que se encontraba debajo de esa piedra, y algo que me pareció muy raro fue que tenía pegadas unas pequeñas conchas de mar.
Después de verlos y tomarles muchas fotos los regresamos al agua otra vez y seguimos nuestro camino para llegar a Puerto Abajo, pero definitivamente yo quiero volver a esa playa para bañarnos, ese día no lo hicimos porque ha llovido estos días y estaba con mucha basura que no sale fácil por la forma que tiene la playa, pero si vamos nuevamente les contaré.
The other one we found was a little smaller but it was prettier because compared to the other sea urchin that had reddish spines, this one had some fuchsia spines, which allowed it to hide a little better under a stone that by chance of life I decided to lift it to see what was under that stone, and something that seemed very strange to me was that it had some small sea shells attached to it.After seeing them and taking many pictures we returned them to the water again and continued on our way to Puerto Abajo, but I definitely want to go back to that beach to swim, that day we did not do it because it has rained these days and there was a lot of garbage that does not come out easily because of the shape of the beach, but if we go again I will tell you about it.
Si ustedes están cerca de estas playas tienen que vivir esta experiencia es muy divertida, ven paisajes muy bonitos y pueden ver todo tipo de animales en las piedras y también en el camino.
If you are near these beaches you have to live this experience is very fun, you see beautiful landscapes and you can see all kinds of animals on the rocks and also on the road.
