Vines are evil. They are on my remove on sight list around our place. Right up there with buckthorn and sumac. Our hydrangeas look the same. Soon to be cut down for the winter. All that being said... pretty shots of the ornamental grass and river 🙂 we have some ornmental grass and also bulrush and cat tails in the wetter areas. All nice fall/winter decor while they stay up.

No sumac, but buck thorn is everywhere and there seems to be a bountiful crop of berries this year. I usually leave the hydrangea until early spring, just because I like seeing it frosted with snow
