I was out for a stroll the other day, doing my usual loop around the neighborhood. I spotted a tiny pomegranate tree growing in front of one of the houses.
The pomegranate tree wasn't tall at all, maybe a foot taller than my height. I'm pretty sure it was a dwarf variety.
But what it lacked in height, it made up for with fruit. The tree was full of fruit!
I mean... these pomegranates weren't just a few here and there. The fruit was everywhere. They were hanging off branches like ornaments on a Christmas tree.
The fruits were all deep, glowing red, and one fruit had split open just enough to show off the ruby seeds inside. The tree was definitely bursting with pride, being small but mighty, lol.
I stood there for a minute, just admiring it. It reminded me how easily the little things slip past unnoticed. How easy it is to walk past something beautiful because it's not flashy or towering over us.
But this little pomegranate tree? It was holding its own! Quietly generous. Quietly joyful.
Eventually, I kept walking. But it kept popping into my thought. That tiny pomegranate tree reminded me that you don't have to be loud and flashy to be special. Some things just show up, low-key, and light up the whole space!
