Yesterday, I didn’t expect anything special today. The plan was simple, just go home with the whole fam after work.
But before that, I had time to meet up with my brother. Since we were both early and the rest of the family wasn’t around yet, we decided to kill time at the mall.
It is all started as a simple walk around the mall while waiting for the fam turned into an unexpectedly sweet and memorable moment—complete with handmade finds, good company, and a scoop of ice cream happiness.
No big plans, just a quick stroll. But you know how it is that when you’re with someone you vibe with, even the most random moments turn out fun.
We walked around without any real direction. The stalls caught our attention first—so many cute and creative stuff on display. I saw a bunch of stickers and pins (the kind I’d probably never use but still want to buy just because they’re that cute), wooden crafts like combs and key holders, and even wallets you could get customized.
Honestly, I love seeing handcrafted things. There's something warm and personal about them just like they have a story.
We wandered up to the second floor, still just looking around. No rush, no pressure. Just walking, talking, and soaking in the chill vibe of the place. Sometimes we’d stop and admire stuff, sometimes just pass by. We even checked out the food stalls, curious if anything would tempt us.
And then… ice cream cravings hit. HARD.
We ended up at this popular Seoul ice cream spot. I’ve been hearing about it but never really tried it till now. And wow—so worth it. I got pistachio (my forever fave), and my brother went for chocolate.
I’ve been craving that Seoul ice cream for a while, so I invited them to try it with me. We all had different favorites, so we picked the flavors we each knew we'd enjoy. It was fun seeing everyone excited over their choices—simple joys that made the moment even sweeter.
This is the ice cream we often crave because it's just so delicious! Each one costs around $1.30, depending on the flavor.
They had cone options too, which just made the whole thing feel extra nostalgic and fun. We didn’t even sit down—we just walked around, slowly enjoying our ice cream like kids on a summer day.
It felt refreshing. Not just because of the ice cream, but the whole moment. That simple kind of happiness you don’t even plan—you just find it in between conversations and shared silences.
And that’s what made it special.
Some days don’t have to be loud or full of big events to be meaningful. Sometimes, it’s in the quiet, unexpected in-betweens—the slow walks, the spontaneous ice cream, the familiar faces—that you find the best moments.
Eventually, the rest of the family arrived. We all headed home together, just like we originally planned. But this time, I had a full heart and a full stomach. On the way, we joked around, shared stories from our day, and laughed over random things. Nothing fancy. Just… real!
So yeah, today? Today was a good day.
