I completely agree with that last part of your writing, souls rest in peace and in the midst of nature.
I have always felt that cemeteries are places of peace, and here you can see that even though it is very neglected. Each grave tells a story of the distant past, of people who no longer have any relatives, perhaps forgotten, but not intentionally. I really like the photographs where the gravestones and tombs emerge from the grass, as you said.
Sometimes they are places of mystery, other times of pain, sorrow, suffering, but in this case, calm reigns. The church with the two towers is emblematic of the place and seems to rise up as a reminder of all those who are there. Cemeteries always have something special for me. I loved this Wednesday walk. A big hug!
