So dear Laeg my betta fish has been sick again, and I recently set up a proper hospital tank for him. He hasn't recovered as quickly as the last time he was sick (ergo why I didn't do it right away, I didn't want to stress him out if I didn't have to), though the internet said popeye (which he had) takes a long time to recover from. His eye is looking a lot better thankfully, and after a medicine bath I put him in the hospital tank and he ate for the first time in days, so I'm hopeful. He's still having some difficulty swimming though, I think there might also be a swim bladder issue that he needs to recover from.

I'm doing a deep clean of the main tank while he and Sanglainn the snail are in the hospital tank, because it really needs it. You generally aren't supposed to deep clean aquariums very often, but I think that was part of the problem. I'm going to lessen the amount of substrate in there as I clean. Even though I gravel vacuumed and stirred it around all the time, I was always getting those anaerobic bubbles in there, so hopefully less gravel at the bottom will help me be able to keep it cleaner in future with the gravel vacuum.
As I was moving things out, I realized that my mopani wood looks like a triceratops skull in this position:
In other news, I finished another piece for the Forever Blanket the other day, and have started on another (perhaps the last?) piece:

So that's kinda exciting, if I can finally finish that project after so many years!!
It's snowing here again today, so just staying home since I don't have to go anywhere. Knitting and cleaning. :)
I hope y'all are having a good weekend! Stay safe and thanks for reading! :)
