You remind me of two famous quotes.

One was that “luck favors the prepared.” People who have trained and are in the best position to make use of every good opportunity that presents itself by chance in their lives.

And the other was that “life is what happens while you make other plans,” which I believe is a quote from Lennon shortly before his death.

In light of both quotes, we must remember that life is unpredictable, that we must prepare for the inevitable changes, and accept that things can turn out very differently than we may have planned.
