I stuck to the routine yesterday morning, but gave it a little twist by switching the run for a bike ride. It felt good to change things up—still getting that morning movement in, but with a different rhythm and pace. The fresh air and slightly faster pace on the bike gave me a new energy, and it reminded me that variety can keep the routine from going stale.
The day at the office was packed—back-to-back tasks and meetings that left me completely drained by the end of it. I had every intention of checking in on trades and doing some reconciling in the evening, but honestly, I just didn’t have the energy. Still, what surprised me was how well everything held up on its own. Trade volume stayed solid, passive systems did their thing, and I didn’t have to intervene. It’s one of those moments where you appreciate the backend work you’ve put in—things keep moving even when you’re temporarily out of steam.
