I haven't really imagined the world without having access to the internet "What a world" I know when the internet wasn't invented back in the day, people still survived but then in this present moment that lot of people have gotten used to the internet, now I'm gonna use myself as an example.
I'm gonna start with an experience I had recently. There is this stuff the company I'm working for used our personal contact lines for, and it's called "CUG" in full "close user group," so what does it do? It enables employees who are associated with an organization to communicate with each other seamlessly without having to worry about running out of airtime. That means "it's free" for employees.
This particular stuff is based on a monthly subscription, so we make payment by the end of every month, and if payment isn't made, "hmmm, this part," the number associated with the service will be banned from making calls or receiving calls. That's not all "I wish it was" it goes as far as banning you from accessing the internet and you know what that means " no browsing"
So my company delayed the payment due to some network issue we were having with the bank and wasn't able to process the payment.
So yes, my number was affected negatively by that; for two whole days, my phone was just there looking at me, and I couldn't do anything with it. What's the essence of using a phone when you can't perform the major transactions? The only thing I could remember doing was sleeping and waking up. After a while, my sister became concerned and asked if I was okay because of the way I'd been sleeping. "it's out of the ordinary".
When my number came back to life, it felt like I'd been blacked out from the world for two days; felt like I was in the dark, trying hard to find my light. Then when I finally turned my data and started scrolling those feeds, looking at the things I've missed out on. In those early moments, I could see myself smiling, and I sensed a certain level of fulfillment.
The Airtel network in my part of the world called data life, and that is "being able to access the internet is life".
If any right is placed against our access to the internet, what do you think it would be called? (I'm thinking about it too) what would the world be without the Internet? How do we stay informed regularly?
I don't think I would have known about "hive" if there was no internet. The Internet has made a lot of people millionaires today; there are a lot of benefits the Internet offers to the world. The internet has made life easy for the world. Without the internet, there wouldn't be anything called "a remote job" living in a country like mine where jobs aren't guaranteed after graduating from a higher institution.
Without the internet, I don't think I would have been privileged enough to know these amazing people I've known on hive. Communicating with people from different parts of the world, it feels like we are closer to each other.
Such a rule shouldn't be passed; the free access we have to the internet should remain like that forever and forever.
the best experience about the internet, is the fact that we have to stay in our country and earn in foreign currency "How sweet is that".
