Currently, I feel super proud of myself, and you might be wondering "why I'm proud" Well, wonder no more because I'm about to share it with you.
So little background story: on seeing this topic, the first question that came to my mind was "How populated is Nigeria" I've been hearing from people that Nigeria is highly populated but then I haven't really had the time to check it out on the internet and know the position my nation falls in the world. So, the moment I saw this topic, I was prompted in my soul to go check it out, and I did. End of story: "Hope you enjoyed it as I did."
I can't believe Nigeria is ranked as the number six highly populated nation in the world. "Now that is a lot." Now I believe this saying even more that "the world doesn't revolve around me and my comfort zone". So, there is actually a whole world of people who do things differently out there that I have yet to experience and come in contact with.
When a nation is highly populated it has a wide range of effects on its economy "No wonder Nigeria is like this" Sometimes like they say there are two sides to the coin and come to think of it there are other nations that are more populated than Nigeria that are doing very well economically, so I'm not blaming it on the population despite it being a factor.
There is a particular conversation that most people liked talking about back then. Currently, I don't know if people still talk about it, though: "that the Nigerian Government can actually risk paying every individual in the nation both the infants" and the country won't go bankrupt. Before thinking about the incentives, "let's take a dive into what generates revenue for my nation, Nigeria".
My nation, Nigeria, is Firstly known as an oil-producing nation, "number one," which is the major source of revenue generation. The second source of income that I know so much about is the "federal government taxes" that are being imposed on companies and certain caliber of individuals in the nation.
Nigeria is a very rich nation, rich in mineral resources particularly in the oil and gas sector and not forgetting the agricultural resources. Then, talking about giving incentives to families that have a certain number of children to support them "isn't a bad thing to do" because the economy going down every day is affecting the lifestyle of people and cutting down the number of meals some families eat in a day.
With the way the country is, "everyone needs help," proudly being in the category. If the government can provide such incentives to families with a large number of children, it is gonna help in taking children off the streets because every day when other children are in classes learning and preparing to be the leaders of tomorrow, some are in the streets hawking so their families would have food to eat in the house.
Even if the Nigerian government begins such a project, don't be surprised that during the long run, it will end up with "Government hasn't paid us incentives for some months now" They will start skipping some months and paying some months "Nigerian things are always different" but then I'm not gonna lie such incentives is gonna help reduce the rate of children hawking in streets, it's gonna create a balance in the life of every child where they get to experience a certain level of education.
