Wow, I can't imagine how you might have felt, I don't know why people behave this way, he should have just told you the truth that he won't help then that would have been a different case yet he kept quiet and assuring you of the job. Everything worked for our good, I believe there is a reason you didn't get that one, maybe something bigger was cooking that's why.
