They say, "All work and no play makes what? Now let me rephrase this statement to suit myself: "All work and no holiday makes Tari a what?" How would our work life be without holidays? "We become workaholics." No doubt working is good and sweet because it pays the bills, but when the holiday is added to it, it becomes sweeter. I love holidays, especially the ones that have to do with celebrating.
I still can't believe the year is running out faster than expected, it felt like it was just yesterday that we were screaming and celebrating the dawn of a new year, and here we are again, getting ourselves ready for the end of the year.
Whenever I take a look at the calendar, I would just wonder how fast this year ran. "I know I'm emphasizing the fast too much!" But then that's how I feel, looking back at when the year started and today we are in December "How amazing" In a few days holidays will call and you know what I would do "I'd be fully ready to pick the call" thats the one call I've been anticipating for a while now.
My holiday would be starting eleven days from now "How exciting," I know, right? The holidays are the only time I get to spend incredible time with my family,. I thought I would never leave them; I grew up with the mindset of always staying around my family, but then life happens, and aspiration changes and the search for greener pastures has thrown us into different parts of the nation, thereby making it difficult for us to be together always.
So, the only period we get to spend quality time together as a family is the festive season; that's the major reason I look forward to every festive season. The moment the holiday starts, I'm gonna have a two-day break to prepare myself before traveling back home.
Since I haven't seen my family in a long time, I intend to get something for each of them, "even if it's not something big," just to show how much I love them and how thankful I am to have them in my life. They made living life so easy for me with their amazing words of encouragement.
Next year holds something important for me, I intend to further my career by enrolling in a professional course. So during the holidays I'm gonna prepare my mind towards that by studying "I know this part won't be easy" Since I have friends who are into the professional course and are about rounding up, I'm gonna be hanging around them to get more update on how the whole course works and the financial expenses involved.
Finally, "Food", what is the essence of the holiday without good meals, I intend to fill my stomach with the most amazing meals this holiday, the homemade meals that I've missed for a long period, I will recover all of them before the holidays end. I have had the conversation with my stomach so we are on the same page.
