I used to argue with people when they say "The salary isn't everything you consider before accepting a job offer" Then I would ask "If not the salary then what else?
Job benefits are privileges granted to employees aside from their monthly salaries, These job benefits vary, and not all companies provide their employees with such job benefits. Some job benefits come in a monetary form enabling employees to save up and also sort out unforeseen expenses when they arise while others come in other forms.
Before getting a job I had a preference for the kind of job I wanted, I needed a job where I would not get to work on weekends "It's a job benefit as well though" cause I know someone who works every single day of the week without having some alone time for himself.
Does my current workplace have job benefits? Well, my current workplace has some job benefits that have been helping me so far, now it doesn't come in monetary form often but then I get incentives in the form of palliative ( which isn't frequent).

One job benefit of my current place of work is the knowledge I have been able to acquire, I'm an accountant by profession, and I haven't gone for my professional course but I intend to soon, when I get my job I thought I couldn't carry out the tasks needed of me, cause the title I'm bearing sounds big to my ears "an accountant" but then I was wrong, my company paid an external auditor who comes to the office on the scheduled days of our meeting to teach me on areas I'm finding difficult.
Often when the auditor comes he would ask me questions related to my job description and then I'd be given some tasks to work on, this alone has helped me gain more knowledge in my field as an accountant. Here is what happened. There was a day the auditor asked me to join him for a meeting outside the company, so he told my boss about it and my boss seconded to broaden my knowledge of my job, so I joined the auditor for the meeting.
The meeting was organized for professional accountants who have gone through the skilled level of accounting, I was opportune to be a part of that meeting, I thought my job was just to sit and listen to them while they talked, but all of a sudden a tray question was thrown at me, at that moment the auditor looked at me and said "she can answer it" then I stood up, introduced myself and answered the question, in the processing of answering I felt my heart beating faster than usually but I didn't let that stop me.
After the meeting, one of the accountants stopped me on my way out and asked if I'd taken my professional classes and I told him "no" At that moment he was surprised at my performance, then he advised me to take the classes and I responded with a "yes", with these few feedbacks I get from people I have this positive feeling that I've attained some level of advancement in my career, That's one job benefit I'm grateful for.
Another job benefit is the fact that I don't get to work on weekends, I know people who work every day of the week and these people don't have time for themselves, all they do is work and work. I'm happy I don't work on weekends though it isn't enough time for relaxation but then I'm grateful for it.
I'm thrilled I have these weekends to myself, where I get to relax and focus on myself, where I don't get to engage in work-related activities and just be by myself, doing things that make me happy.
