If we ask anyone in Nigeria presently to talk about the weather condition in their area I know everyone will something to say, this year's heat is extreme, I don't know if we had experience it as hot as this before, everyone is complaining all over the country.
Some had even turned it to memes saying maybe the last person that entered hell forgot to close to the gate hahaha, that's not possible anyways it's just a kind of joke.
At first I thought it was only in my environment but then I started seeing everyone complain about it then I realized it's a general problem.

For some time now, the heat has not been friendly at all, sometimes I will to shower like 4 times in a day because of the intense heat.
Although we all know we're in dry season but the heat is just too much this time.
To make matters worse, the electricity distribution company failed to supply electricity, even though it's now that we need them the most, they've failed in their duties.
I think some of the reasons why the weather is so hot in Nigeria at the moment is;
Firstly, overpopulation and building construction:
As the population keep increasing, the more vegetation is being cleared for people to build houses and roads. Meanwhile this vegetation ought to be one of the ways in which we get enough oxygen or adequate flow of air in our environment.
Heat waves are becoming more rampant as the number of concrete buildings, tarred roads increases.
We can't say the population should stop increasing even though we can control it, the major one is the clearing of vegetation, this needs to be controlled as soon as possible.
The second reason is due to climate change which has made global temperatures to rise primarily due to greenhouse gas emissions from fossil fuels.
According to the Nigerian Meteorological Agency, they said "the current high temperatures in the country will last for some time." Maybe this is just the beginning who knows, but I just hope this ends very soon, this heat is just too much, although in my area now it's reducing, we're now having a little bit of cool weather in the night unlik before that I find it very hard to sleep.

There's also a forecast that air temperatures will hit 41°C in the north and 39°C in the south. Are we prepared for all this? hmm I know this weather will be so hard on some people especially on those in the north where they experience excessive heat.
People are adviced to drink plenty of water. To avoid being exposed to excessive heat, seek shade, take regular showers, use fans or air conditioner, also wear light, breathable clothing.
I think to make this present harsh weather better for everyone, the government has a great deal of work to do, firstly they have to make strict laws to regulate the cutting down of vegetation. The rate at which trees are being cut down is alarming, these little things are the cause of what we're suffering right now.
Secondly, the government should also help us instruct the electricity company to give us stable power supply, because this is one of the perfect time we need them to do their work.
