Even though the country is getting bad everyday, yet some of us still refuse to be polluted by our environment, to say the fact, crime/ fraud or any name you can tag it has become the order of the day, even people from the same parent scam themselves talkless of people with different backgrounds, close friends play smart one on each other, some people are lost in this already and they've decided to also get spoilt just as their environment is.
There are some things I can never do to people, and one of them is cheating, many years ago, my Ex-girlfriend saved my name as probity, the day I realized I was surprised and I asked her why, she said she has never met a very honest guy like me before, And I was just being my normal self but to some it's extra ordinary. Asides cheating in a relationship I can't also cheat on people, I find it very difficult to do, my conscience won't even allow me rest. So I also think parents role on a child has a long way to go on this, because my parent taught me to always try as much as possible to be honest in all my dealings and do to people what I want them to do to me. I believe no one want people to do evil to them so going by this standard, the world will definitely be a better place.
Do I have stories to share? definitely yes. There was a time I need a laptop to learn a particular course, I was in Niger state serving my father land, but I couldn't get good laptops there, so I contact my friend in Lagos to help me buy from there and then have it sent to me, he was, yes I'm using was because he has lost his place in my heart and life, he used to be my very good friend while in school. So as a Lagos boy that he is and he's also into tech, I deem it fit that he's the best person to help me handle the job. He went to computer village and then sent some samples to me which I selected my favorite, we agreed on the price and I sent money immediately, I needed the laptop urgently so there's no point wasting time.
But to my greatest surprise, he sent a different laptop entirely, a low graded system, with poor battery, low RAM, poor design, the physical appearance of the system is not enticing at all, it was as if ground wanted to swallow me lol, I called him and then he started giving me stories that he needed money to sort some emergencies, so he used part of my money to run it, I was like if you need money, you could have asked me and I'll give you if I have but you used your money to sort your emergency leaving my own emergency.
With this, I was so mad at him and I even threatened to come over but you know some Lagos guys are very dubious, apology to sincere Lagos guys lol. Since that day, I had to cut him off my friends list, because if he could do that to me, then he can do worse things. I couldn't use that system for what I wanted to use it for that year, that was how my plans was aborted because of his fraudulent behavior and my trust in him.
Why will you tarnish your image because of money, it's a very bad act, I think we need to understand the need to treat one another well, lets be our brothers keeper and we will all enjoy this world together.
