Recently I have been thinking that if there's a thing as bad art? This is a controversial question and many people has different kind of opinion about it. Art means where artist showcases a simple form of art and it has self-expression. The artist can communicate their thoughts through their work, the people who buys the art they can understand the emotions of it and decides to buy it.
So this is something very sensitive and personal, people also are connected through it emotionally so can it be labeled as bad? Because usually none tells someone their feelings are wrong. So, are we supposed to judge someone’s art as bad?

First of all, everyone has their own choice and taste in art. What I might find beautiful the other person might completely dislike it. Like for example my father before dying he used to collect abstract art because he found meaning in the chaos, and his brother viewed it as random paint splatters.
If I talk about music people from our generation finds new generation songs too repetitive, but others can feel deeply connected to its rhythm. So, "bad art" is subjective because of the difference in taste. I believe it completely depends on the person viewing or listening to it. I think there's no rules like which is gonna approve what’s good or bad in creativity.
However, I have witnessed people often find art bad when it doesn’t meet certain standards. For example a painting will be considered “bad” if the color is off or if it did not blend well. Same goes for songs like it can be called bad if it lacks rhythm and even the lyrics does not matter. I think these judgments are based on technical skills. But it doesn't mean that the artist failed it could be like they wanted to give us something raw or imperfect.
The fun fact is that many famous artists were once told that their work was bad and not acceptable. But now they are famous worldwide with a huge fan base. It's the same thing for all writers, filmmakers and musicians which means what we call “bad art” might be something that we don’t understand yet. Sometimes it takes a while for people to realize the beauty in something unique.
The old time songs which were considered flop those songs are now making hits amongst the new generation. This means the songs were already good but the people from the past they did not recognize it. So, it's important for you to realize that if something looks bad to you, might not be bad to someone else.
Some things might not be as the way you want but calling it “bad” might not be fair. Even if the art succeeds in making you feel any kind of emotions such as anger or sad then it’s doing its job perfectly. So I believe there’s no such thing as “bad art.”
Everyone should learn to respect "art" because it's not a easy thing to do, it's easy to judge but when you will try to do it by yourself then you will know how tough it is. Ultimately, “Bad Art” has no existence because it’s a myth created by our differing tastes and perceptions.
