For some people, holiday is a great day for doing anything they like. It could be travelling, going to the beach, or hang out with friends. I personally prefer to play games and refresh my mind, but as a father of 3, with one of them is still 3 months old, it's completely different now. Instead of doing what I love, the holiday are mostly spent for the family matter, such as deep cleaning of the house, going for grocerries, and took the children to the playground or beach.

I should've enjoy these activities with my family, but you know, sometimes I just feel that all I want is some chilling day, where I could lay on the bed more, because everyday I have to prepare for my 1st kid that is on kindergarten, going to work (often bring 2 of my sons, so my wife could take care the little one more peacefully), and after finish the work, my boys often ask me to play on the field as well. Then on the night, I have to feed the children as well (sometimes my wife do it, while I pick the baby).

Sometimes I also have to do work on the holiday because my job is on the public service that required to delivered even on the holiday, so we have the schedule, and when it's my time to work, I have to stand by and can't going for a vacation.
So yeah, after all the busy day, sometimes I don't feel like I want to go anywhere, because it's tiring. Sometimes I was like, can't we just stay here and chill on the bed ? 😅

Sometimes I feel jealous with my kitten that can sleep freely there (they are not always on the cage, only when we need to clean up or after they took a bath)

I Need More Holiday !

I think most people would think so, and it might sounds cliche, but really, I feel like I need more holiday ! 2 days off in a week feels like not enough, especially because my son still have to go for school on Saturday, so it doesn't really feels like a free day. Plus the facth that sometimes I have to works on Saturday or Sunday, and that's why I think I need More Holiday

Is there Enough Holiday in a 2025 ?

There is actually 13 holiday in this year calendar outside the weekend, plus 11 days as addition from the government. So it has 24 days in total which could be 2 holidays in a month on the average ! I think it's not a bad number, but we should know that the holiday aren't spread well. 6 of them are on April, and we seems don't have any holiday for October and November. Gonna be a looong month 😅

Too Much Holiday Would Affect the Economy, Surely

Since I'm not a business man, I feels like more holiday would be nice, but it's not really nice for everyone. I found some articles about the business man complain about there is too much holiday in Indonesia. This is because they have to pay the employee at the same rate, but getting lower productivity. I think it's debatable, because on the other article I have read that a break could improve the employee productivity. So, you might lose a day, but you might also get higher productivity for the days after that. It's also important to keep the mental health of the employees, right ? 😃
