The Hot Weather In Nigeria.

in Hive Learners9 months ago

I think I should join the trend of those who are complaining about heat here in Nigeria. Well, I need to be honest by telling you that there is heat and everywhere is extremely hot. As for me, I’m always prepared by the end of the year to make plans on how I’d live during that hot period since I already know that February is the hottest month here in Nigeria.
The major plans I make is to buy a very good fan if I don’t have one and buy revealing clothes not because I want to showcase my cloth to the world but because I need to be free from heat. The weather here is really hot but I’m wondering how hot it will be in the Nothern part of Nigeria because it is always extremely hot over there.

If I’m asked the reason for the extreme heat, I can’t even give any explanation. I’m sure some people will have something to say about it but I’m not scientifically inclined so I can’t say anything about it. The only thing I remember is when someone told me that there is one thing or the other wrong with the ozone layer. In a nutshell, everywhere is very hot and I’m sure we all can’t wait for the rainy season.

How has the hot weather been for me?

I think I should say that this is the luckiest February I have ever experienced in my entire life. Then, especially when I was at the university, I lived in a very small house and the heat was always crazy.
I’m so lucky that now, I work in a place where there is AC in the nook and cranny of the place. At the same time, we have two ACs in a class so that’s enough to keep me cold.

Secondly, my boss drops me home everyday and when I’m in her car, she on the AC all the time so it keeps me cold too. When I get to my hostel, it is always cool because we have light most of the time and my room is very spacious with two windows and enough for much breeze to enter it.

Apparently, I’ve not been hot. Even when sleeping without electricity at night, the highest thing I do is open the windows for cool breeze to come in so it is just as if I’m not experiencing the kind of heat others are experiencing at all and I’m glad about that. If my side was hot, my skin would have been looking very bad by now. My skin reacts to heat easily and that’s why I’m always trying to make sure that I’m a bit cold.

What I think can be done to make it all better for everyone?

I think everyone should get a fan. Unfortunately, not everyone has the money to get a fan so those who cannot afford to get a fan should maybe use a handfan.
Also, everyone should take theirs bath frequently. This will at least help people to stay cool and maybe a bit cold.

Another thing I know can be of help is that they should wear clothes that are not thick so that breeze can easily touch their skin.
I hope all of these tips I shared become useful and helps to reduce how hot you feel.

The heat is too much

Thanks for sharing this useful tips

It can be unbearable when the heat is so much and it can be hard to breathe. It's good that you have prepared for it. I have been reading that most places in Nigeria do not have electricity so I now wonder how they are getting through it.

I’m not really feeling hot

It looks like it's only you and politicians that are enjoying in Nigeria right now o 😩 AC at your workplace and cool breeze at night? You definitely can't relate to the rest of us that are sweating every minute

Hahaha
I can’t relate ooh
I’m moving from AC to AC

My dear, the intensity of the heat is too high and toxic. While we are complaining of heat in Nigeria, the Americans are freezing.

Abi ooh
