Our data is used for different purposes by the government but it's so sad that the bad ones have found ways to get our data and used it for selfish gain. This is where they start calling victims and scamming them and on our parts, we must be careful not to release any information online to someone we don't know.
Just like banks would tell you, they can never call you on phone to release your details unless you come to their office to resolve your issues.
