A relationship is the way or form in which two or more people are connected, or the way they behave or act toward each other,for example you may be asked a question like this: "What is your relationship to that young lady?" And you answer back by expressing what connect you and the said person: "She's my daughter." Another example can be The two men have a good working relationship.
A relationship can also be a close romantic friendship between two people, it can be just friendship without any emotional or intimate connection.
For I hardly make friends, or should I say Make new friends, I am a kind of introvert that doesn't speak much, but once am in the cycle of my close pals I tend to be like the talkative among them, this is just how I am, when I grow relationship, I grow it as a family and take them all as one,
Here is a true story of one of my friend that could have been my business partner but ended up doing one of the most stupid thing that later ends our Relationship.
Some years ago, that should be 5 years ago, after graduating from school and was finally shortlisted for the NYSC program, I was posted to Benue state. Although I didn't want to report to Benue state, this was because I never dreamt of myself service my one year compulsory service there,
I actually had Akwa Ibom or Cross River or maybe Ogun state as my state of Choice.
I can vividly remember that I was really depressed when I first saw that I was posted on Benue state. I accepted my fate and after 3 weeks in the Camp Ground, which is located in Tarka Local Government, I was move to my Residence place.
I met a lot of people here in Benue state, I made friends and family, the most notable ones was my Colleagues and fellow Corp members.
I got a Job with a fintech company just 6 month after my service, and I got so occupied with doing my Job so well.
I had three Good friends, Tosin , Gabriel and Ade. They are all corp members, after I passed out from my NYSC program they were posted to my place of residence.
We grew very fond of each other we talk business, visit eachother places and even go to the same church.
Due to my very busy schedules then with the Company that employed me, I started thinking about having my own business even though I was still working with the company. I raised some capital for the business and then I got all my friends informed about it, since I want them to partner with me on it, this is because I won't be able to handle the work simultaneously with my office job,
Gabriel and Ade told me they won't like to stay back after their service ended in the next two months, so I talked to Tosin, He was so excited about it, He said he is 100% ready to do any form of business, I was so happy that finally I have a good hand that can help with my business. Tosin was a Guy that is very promiscuous and flirty. I always advised him to keep it slow sometimes but he always want to go all wild and free.
He was Just one month to finish his service, when an incident happened, he went to have an affair with a married woman in the community, the Husband to that woman is a warrior and a notorious criminal too,
To cut the long story short, Tosin Ran out out the community because the bloodthirsty revenge filled man is looking for him all around the community with his gangs.
Tosin left without concluding his services. And most importantly we couldn't run our proposed business again.
Some months after the incident, I started my business and till date the business grew and expanded to other various communities. Tosin lost a great Opportunity and Relationship too. Had it been he heeded to my My Advice, he could have really been part of my Success story too.
