These people are so important in any society but the sad truth right now is that the medical profession in Nigeria is facing a crisis.
Doctors and medical practitioners are leaving the country in large numbers, a phenomenon popularly known as "**Japa**" **(is a Yoruba word that means "to escape" or "to flee")**.
This situation is not a funny one but it's a symptom of a deeper issue that threatens the very fabric of Nigeria's healthcare system.

There are many that are currently Challenges Facing Medical Doctors in Nigeria, out of the many are these noticeable ones like poor working conditions of our hospitals and healthcare facilities, they lack basic equipment, infrastructure, and resources, making it difficult for doctors to provide quality care. Just imagine a patient who needs immediate care and help like liver failure or kidney problems, they will have to be shifted from one hospitals to the other, before you know, that unfortunate patient may lose his life.

Another critical challenge is that our Doctors' salaries are often low and irregular, leading to financial insecurity and frustration. These are people that supposed to be paid more than politicians but our politicians go home with massive amounts of salaries and extravagant bonuses.

Many doctors feel that they are not adequately trained or supported to provide high-quality care, and opportunities for professional development are limited. I can't really blame them for Japa honestly.
Finally I feel Doctors and other healthcare workers are often at risk of violence, kidnapping, and other security threats, particularly in areas affected by conflict or insecurity. With the rapid rate of insecurity in the country.

But What if the doctors Strike? Will there be a swift response from the government? Will they work on all these challenges?

My answer is a big No

Our Government will not move to action because of the Doctors striking. Most of the strike actions taken be Important groups like Labour Congress, Student Union Associations, NTA, SAANU , ASUU and Even Medical staffs has yielded no Fruit or positive outcomes in fact if All our few Medical Professionals staffs remaining in the country decides to go for Strike, People would be sorely affected for example there would be delays for serious consequences for patients, particularly those with chronic or life-threatening conditions. Also Strikes can erode trust between doctors and patients, making it harder to build strong relationships and provide high-quality care.

Because of all these challenges is why Doctors are leaving Nigeria to UK, Canada, USA and many other countries outside Africa. Many doctors are attracted to better-paying jobs, more resources, and greater opportunities for professional development in other countries. Some Doctors may feel frustrated with the lack of support, insecurity/safety issues, lack of resources, and infrastructure in Nigeria's healthcare system, leading them to seek opportunities elsewhere.

The Solutions to this crisis is not Farfetched
To address the crisis facing the medical profession in Nigeria, the government and other stakeholders must work together to do Better.
They need to Improve working conditions, make it suitable for our Noble doctors
Let there be Provision of better equipment, Security , infrastructure, and resources for hospitals and healthcare facilities.

Finally and Most importantly Government should Increase funding and Salary to the healthcare sector to support the development of infrastructure, equipment, and personnel.
