Sometimes Life Happens

Hello Everyone,
One of the lessons I ever learnt in life is to always cut my coat according to my size.

So many times in life we all planned out our life, thought of many outcomes and then believe all things will go according to your plans but you end up being disappointed at yourself because life had his own plan.

I always love when people kept to their promise, I personally felt that this a good value that everyone should adopt.
Say something and let it be just as you said it.
Unlike some bunch of people who will promise people heaven and earth but they will end up failing just like some of our politicians.
I have really don't like it when people promise to do something but they End up not doing, wether it is to me or to another person.

Many a time human being failed me in the most unimaginable way. I remembered the last time I was in my year 3 in the University, I was totally broke, I called everyone at home but they all complained of not having money at that present time, My dad, my mum and my elder sister. It was a very painful experience. After trying all the people I am free with, I finally called one of my uncle. His name is Mr Gbolu, his response was very positive, he told me not to worry that by 3pm the next day, he is going to send me up to #10,000 (Ten thousand naira). I was so full of joy, my hope came back, I thought within myself how I would buy all the food stuff I need, I planned out how I will spend the money for 3 full weeks.
I thanked Mr Gbolu like there was no tomorrow, praying for him as if I am a prayer warrior of mountain of fire lol 😆.
The next day came, I was really anticipating it, that even seconds felt like hours and hours felt like a full year to me as at that time.
I already told my roommates that I am expecting a very huge sum of money from one of my family. 3pm reached, I didn't receive any alert on my phone, 3:30pm nothing from him, I kept checking my bank app to see wether the funds entered but my SMS alert are the ones delaying but up to no avail.
By the time it was 3 hours later, that's about 6pm, I called uncle gbolu but his number was ringing but he didn't pick my calls, I called him several but he didn't pick, I even resent my account number to him again with different numbers but up to no avail, the day went and on the next day too, my uncle still didn't pick my calls.
I was so devastated, by that time 3 days have passed my uncle still didn't send me anything, up to now that my uncle didn't send me anything, I was so very disappointed that I promised myself that I would never talk to him again and that I will never promise people anything I can't fulfil.
Here is the Twist of Event.

Just 6 years ago when I was still teaching in one of the school in Lagos, my younger sister, called me to send her some money, by that time it was on the 29th day of the month, in that school we are always being paid unfailingly on the 30th or 31st of every month, I promised my sister that I would send the money on the 1st of the coming month, but as life has his own way, our Proprietor paid us on the 7th of the next month, and yes he paid us half salary, and promised to pay us the other payment some days after, that the school is having some challenges.

I was so pained in my heart because I know I have failed my sister by not sending on the day I promised. It was just a way of Life being the one at the centre of things.

Here is my response to #hl-w172e1

Do have a great week and Awesome new Month 💕
