Good day, people of Hive! Welcome to my blog. Today's topic is from Hive Learners, which says: "Holiday Season", so let's dive in.

Honestly, who doesn't love holidays? I don't think there's anyone who will hear the word holiday and feel sad. Everyone loves holidays and can't wait to have one. Whether we are students or workers, the sound of holidays always brings joy and happiness to us.

As students, when we hear the word holiday, we're always happy. When the school announces that we're having a holiday, we are filled with joy because that holiday gives us time to rest and regain our energy. When we hear holiday, that means no lectures, no assignments to do or submit, and no waking up early to rush to class.

For workers, a holiday means they can rest from their jobs, spend time with their families, and relax their minds.

I know this personally because I'm currently writing my second semester exams. The pressure of the exams is choking me. Reading late all through the night, waking up early to prepare, and then rushing to the exam hall so I won’t be late all these are exhausting me. But one thought keeps me going, and that is the holiday waiting for me at the end of my exams.

I keep reminding myself that after all this exam stress, I will finally have two months of holiday to rest. During that holiday time, I won’t need to wake up by 6:00 am for morning lectures. I can sleep until my body decides it has had enough and wake up whenever I want. I can do whatever I like without the fear of having lectures the next day.

In my country (Nigeria), we have up to 10–11 holidays in a year, but if I’m being honest, sometimes it feels like they are not enough. Honestly, we need more than 11 holidays in Nigeria. If I could add more holidays to the ones we already have, I’d probably add 5 more, making it 16 in total. Life in Nigeria is not easy at all, because there’s always stress in both work and school. So adding five extra holidays is not bad at all. Having 16 holidays in the whole 365 days of the year is worth it.

When @fashtioluwa mentioned the number of holidays in the five countries he talked about in his post, I was surprised, especially about Nepal, which has 35 holidays in a whole year.

But no matter how many holidays the government gives us, what excites me most right now is my own personal holiday after my exam. Once my exam is done, I’ll finally have that long break. I already know how I’ll spend it. On the third day after my exam, I’ll be traveling to my big sister @princessbusayo’s place, which I mentioned in one of my previous posts.

I know too many holidays can affect the economy negatively, but at the same time, if people work without rest, they become less productive.

In conclusion, holidays bring joy and happiness to everyone because they give us time to rest and relax. With the few holidays we have in Nigeria, adding an extra more wouldn’t hurt. As for me, I’m just excited to finish my exams and finally enjoy my own holiday in peace.

When I was in highschool and college, I don't like holidays because back then i prefer attending school rather than stay at home. I feel more stress at home rather than when i'm at school haha. Anyways, Holiday really us good for every workers and students. That's their only rest, though there are times too that some used that day to do extra work. Those who really needs money you know. But some take those days to really rest and regain strength as you've said.

Holiday is really good because it gives us time to rest and regain our lot energy. But there are times that whenever we're in holiday I will be feeling we should resume school quickly and while I'm in school I will be feeling that there should be holiday but overall I love holiday the most.
