Cryptocurrency users in my country are in a state of confusion.

Hello, everyone.

Welcome to my blog and another wonderful edition of the Hive Learners' featured post. Currently, cryptocurrency is topping the headlines in my country, but not for a good reason. It is no news that cryptocurrency is the future; every life it touches, it leaves a long-lasting impact. Many newbies like myself made a very big mistake when we first stepped into the cryptocurrency space, a mistake that would have made us leave the space, but every day I thank God I stayed despite paying heavily for my mistake.

Many of us have in one way or another benefited from the cryptocurrency space; it has turned many lives around and brought people from around the globe together in one space. We are all coexisting peacefully in the cryptocurrency ecosystem, not minding where you are from. Everyone is welcome in the cryptocurrency space, with no questions asked. That is the joy of cryptocurrency. It helps build a kind of bond among individuals.

I really don't feel any regrets after joining the cryptocurrency space, and I know there are many like me out there too. Many who cryptocurrency is their only source of income, and it has not failed them once. Due to the unemployment rate of our country (Nigeria), many have ventured into cryptocurrency as a means of survival, and it is the best decision they ever made. As cryptocurrency users, we might have our good and bad days, but that does not stop one from enjoying the benefits of knowing about cryptocurrency.

Cryptocurrency comes with a lot of benefits. With the knowledge of cryptocurrency, you do not need to depend on the government before you can earn a living. After all, the aim of cryptocurrency is to give individuals the room to enjoy decentralization, and we are all enjoying that. The government wants us to be completely dependent on them, but with cryptocurrency, you can boycott them, and many countries's governments are working tirelessly to drag cryptocurrency to the ground, but doing that has been impossible for them.

My government's stance on cryptocurrency

Like I said earlier, cryptocurrency has been one of the top headlines in my country for the past few weeks, as the government claims that it was used to move government funds and has been a way scammers and internet fraudsters move funds without being detected. For that reason, they are trying to place a ban on cryptocurrency and every transaction from cryptocurrency to naira, especially from USDT to naira. This is not the first time my country's government has placed a ban on cryptocurrency. They call it a scam and so many other names, but we know cryptocurrency for what it really is.

Currently, Binance is planning to discontinue transactions and operations within this region because of how the government has treated both staff and the company name.

How does it affect me?

The government's stance on cryptocurrency is affecting every cryptocurrency user negatively; one can no longer carry out transactions on Binance swiftly. Coins or tokens to be sold must be swapped to USDT and sent out to another wallet as Binance no longer supports naira transactions. This is quite stressful and is a discouragement to many.

My little suggestion.

I know my suggestion won't really count, but if a youth that is exposed to cryptocurrency is allowed to rule, that's the only way cryptocurrency stands a chance of gaining root here, but our government is filled with oldies who made us believe children are the leaders of tomorrow but have not given us the chance to lead. I suggest a younger person take power, not all these oldies taking decisions that cause the youths to suffer.

Thanks for reading my post.

Hmmm, this old people will like to oppress anyone close to young and with vision so their wickedness will not be exposed. As I always say, my government puts their minds in fighting what is good. I hope the youths will keep doing what is good.

I do wish you well, and do stay safe

Hopefully the youths stay on track, though with the way the economy is it's hard to stay in track.

Thanks for stopping by.

They say cryptocurrency is used to launder money and they might be right, but was it cryptocurrency that Tinubu used to move money to his house many years ago? Maybe the bullion van contained USDT 😅 The government is trying to kill cryptocurrency in this country but they will keep failing, we will always find a means to still use it

😂😂

I see you are really pissed at jagaban 😂. Our leaders are funny bro but we just have to find a way around and survive.

Nigerian government is fond of putting an immediate ban on any project that they do not understand rather than understudy and see how it can be beneficial to the populace. I believe with time, a reconsideration would occur. Elderly people want to remain on the throne you know.

This is not the first ban and I know it's not last but Nigerians cannot and will not be forced out of Cryptocurrency.

You're right, government bows at the end, willingly or otherwise

This country is just somehow and I hope things get settled and we can settle our rift with Binance too
I’d miss that platform so much

Our leaders just don't care, it's annoying how they are always after what benefits the masses.

The approach used by our government in solving some safety issues is quite ridiculous. Guns and knives have been used to cause harm to people for centuries, does that mean they should be eradicated despite how dangerous it is.

There are other ways to ensure the safety of funds and the usage of crypto currency by scammers. They can't just eradicate people's source of income because they consider it to be harmful. They are just being ignorant to the truth and refusing to accept the innovative ideas brought by crypto currency.

The ban on Cryptocurrency has affected many negatively, our government is do wrong with their judgement
