Short stories and reflections about love.

in Hive Learnerslast year

Hello dear Hive Learners community, February 14th is the day of love and friendship and with much affection I am writing this post where I remember some very nice ladies with whom I have fallen in love and who have helped me grow emotionally, despite some misfortunes suffered.

Teenage love is something magical and torrid, full of intense emotions and discoveries. I fondly remember my playmate, that friend who became something more. We played together, shared secrets and laughter, but it was in that early teenage moment when love blossomed between us. It was naive and passionate, full of dreams and illusions.

However, as often happens at those ages, our personalities began to change, our priorities too. What was once pure and exciting faded into maturity. We finished, leaving behind the games of childhood and reflecting on what could have been and wasn't.

Then, love came in college. I met an amazing girl, and we started a relationship that seemed perfect. But life is unpredictable, and I really discovered that she didn't love me, she used me to help her get good grades and to make matters worse she was courted by one of the bullies I knew in high school and the worst thing was that she paid attention to him because of his social position and wealth, our destiny was to separate.

In the midst of love disappointments, an unexpected love came along. I met the sister of a college classmate, she was only 19 years old and I was 22 years old, I was captivated by her charm. However, immaturity and the intervention of a friend who played a bad joke on her sister interfered in my romance, so I indirectly earned the enmity of my former friend and her parents, not to mention that pretty girl. I knew I had to get away from that relationship, even though it hurt me deeply.

Love in the workplace can also be complicated. When I started working I found myself in love with a co-worker, but her situation was much more complicated than I imagined. I discovered that her partner was violent and abusive, but she refused to leave him. It broke my heart to see her suffer, but there was nothing I could do but offer my support and be there for her. I learned firsthand that love is not always enough and that each person must make their own decisions, even if that means staying in a destructive relationship..

At work, I also found love in a self-serving, mean-spirited coworker. At first, I was attracted to her charm and flirtation, but I soon discovered her true personality. She was selfish and manipulative and toxic, playing with my feelings and using me to her advantage. I learned the lesson that love is not always sincere and that we should be cautious about giving our hearts to someone.

However, in the midst of so many heartbreaks, I found the true love of my life many years later in a former co-worker, as if fate wanted to give me a second chance. Her laughter was music to my ears, her smile brightened my day and her presence filled my heart with happiness.

In her I found the calm and stability I longed for. Together, we faced the challenges and overcame the adversities that life presented us, we got married and we have a beautiful daughter who is about to turn 22 years old. True love can come at the most unexpected time and when we least expect it, but when it comes, you know it is forever.

Teenage love, college love, work love and all kinds of love can have ups and downs, can end badly and can teach us valuable lessons about life and ourselves. I learned that love is not always perfect, but it is worth it when we find that special person who is able to fill our hearts with joy and happiness. No matter how many stumbles there are along the way, it is important to remember that true love is there, waiting for us.

Dear fellow Hive Learners, have you had any love or heartbreak that has taught you something?.
