My profession can't be automated, No way!

The advent of technology has been great, no one can say he or she hasn't benefited from technology at all. Life is getting better through technology and we all are loving it but to say that all areas of life will be automated is what I can never agree on.

How on earth will I imagine that robots will take over my profession, as in robots will become teachers in both primary and secondary school; also lecturers in all tertiary institutions, NO it's not possible!

For instance, let's say when I'm married and I intend to enrol my baby in a school and the first thing that greeted me at the reception is a robot and it introduces itself as the teacher in charge of the creche.......what!😱 ...how on earth will a robot handle my baby, it's not possible. I will rather keep my baby at home and teach him or her at the comfort of my home than leave him or her to the hand of a programmed being.

Teaching profession involves interaction and the activities that teachers engage in when he or she noticed that students aren't getting what he or she is saying are numerous. On the other hand, robots can't do beyond what is programmed in it, so no matter how programmed it might be, I can't see human to human interaction and understanding in robots at all.

I'm a teacher who teaches in secondary school and I'm also a class teacher of 27 students, I can say the cognitive behavior of all my students because I've interacted with them and I know each of their behaviors.

To the extent that I can differentiate my students through their voices without seeing them face to face. I can also attest to some of their habits and ways of doing things in the school.

We all know humans have different temperaments, so I believe it not possible for a robot teacher to know its students in toto. Now imagine, a robot teacher who is only programmed to teach is now in a particular class teaching the students, along the line a girl in that classroom started convulsing, please what will happen? Your guess is as good as mine..... If care isn't taking, the girl might end up dead if no human should come to her rescue.

When it comes to education, technology has really helped us beyond our imaginations through research and various tools to enhance our studies. But for robots to take over the roles of teachers in the classrooms is a NO for me.

It takes a lot of energy, patience, time and dedication to teach an adult let alone a child. Teaching is a profession that can't be toiled with because it involves everything in a being. So inculcating robots in our various classrooms will not work at all.

Sometimes I can't just imagine how my forefathers lived their lives during their time but I'm blessed to be born in the era of technology because life has been easier for us all.

There are thousands and millions of things that can be down in the twinkle of an eye with technology. But one thing I definitely know that can never be automated is the work of a teacher.

You're right. The work of a teacher can't be automated.
I really can imagine the sort of impact that robots as teachers would have on their students asides academic excellence, it wouldn't be as warm as we expect when it's a human doing the teaching.

Yes o, human beings does it more better. Thanks for stopping by

You're welcome.

You have really made great points. I can't even imagine what the classroom would be like if such eventually happens. How would the robot manage classroom when the students refuses to use maybe the no flogging at first warming Strategies that might be programmed. Indeed teaching is ome profession that requires humans and nothing else.

Lol, it will be a great disaster if such thing happens. Thanks for visiting
