It is quite unfair for the government not to notice the effort doctors make and the valuable importance of doctors in this nation. Doctors are often seen as selfless givers and helpers. Remember when I once called my friend who studied medicine, he told me that every day he only sleeps 6-4hours. I felt pity for him because he really puts in a lot of effort to save lives.

Here in my country, the Government tends to ignore the efforts of doctors saving lives; instead, they focus on their greedy needs. Most of the rich men here abroad, when they are rich and have the money to treat themselves, don't use their country's doctors.

Based on my observation, there are several reasons I have taken note of that can cause doctors' engagement to depreciate in a country. My research was more based on the average doctor survival in Nigeria.
Expensive education system; This is one of the main reasons people run away from becoming a doctor because it is quite expensive to study. In my country, Medicine is the most expensive to study, even in my school, and it takes a lot of years and practice. Most average family can't even afford to sponsor their children to study medicine in school because it is really expensive to study.
Lower salary; This is even more discouraging of all, it is quite selfish when I see tech brothers are earning more than medical doctors, I feel this is really unfair. Most medical doctors earn less, which discourages a lot of them and even makes them want to travel to another country to practise their profession. I remember when a friend once told me that all the money he spent in school to study medicine and surgery, it has been 4/5 years and he has not even earned half of it, which is very discouraging. Most guys I know who studied medicine are already diverting to the Tech space either in relation to or outside their profession.
Poor working conditions; Most doctors tend to work longer shifts than the usual one. I know of someone who once told me he only sleeps 6-4 hours a day and barely has time for even other business, always saving lives, but still, they get no applause or even compensation, which is really bad. These are things the government ignores for its selfish greed.
Inadequate facilities and equipment; I remember when I rushed my dad to the hospital due to an emergency illness, could you believe the hospital had to tell us that there was no vacant bed at the moment. I felt really bad at this moment. This is one major thing most hospitals face. I have also watched movies where a society struggles to have facilities, and I understand how this really discourages a lot of medical doctors.
There are some areas the government need to take note of and take steps to fight against them, which will really help for growth and peace in the country. The government need to encourage these doctors either through compensation or in any other way, based on their efforts, because doctors are real life savers, and several other opportunities should be created for doctors.
