You nail it, take it or leave it, if they aren't learning from you or asking you questions, they they are definitely learning it in other places, maybe online, from friends, or some other way.
Sex education isn't a topic any parent should shy away from. I actually do not think of a particular age since they now grow differently now, but they should be taught as soon as possible.
