At some point in our lives, we have all had those happy purchases that brought us joy, excitement, and utmost satisfaction. When it comes to the art of purchasing goods, what joy could be greater than getting something that serves you well? On the other hand, there are those sad purchases that didn't turn out as we expected/ didn't meet our expectations. Every day, we see so many cases of “what I ordered versus what I got.” on different social media platforms. One of the reasons I do not like shopping online is because some of these vendors are big liars. Don't quote me wrong- online shopping has its perks; it saves time and energy. However, I've had ugly experiences with online shopping, so I rather go to the store myself and purchase my desired goods. Surprisingly, my most valued possession is from an online store. The purchase made me rethink that not all online vendors are bad, you just have to be extremely careful.
I started playing chess when I was 10 years old. I didn't take it seriously until 2020 when I started playing chess online (Lichess and some other chess apps). Playing chess is one of my favorite hobbies. It is safe to say I'm addicted to playing chess. Worry not for it is a good kind of addiction. I used to share a chess set with my brother, but as I prepared to go to school, I decided to get my own set. Although my brother would have been happy to share his with me, I wanted something bigger and fancier. So, I set out to buy my personal chess set. Thanks to my Hive savings, I had enough money to make the purchase.
There are so many game stores in my city. The ones available didn't have what I wanted. Of course, they had standard chess sets. But, it was the regular type- the boxed one. I wanted something big and unique. I went to different game stores in my city, but none of them had what I wanted. I went back home and decided to purchase it online. I have lots of online vendors on WhatsApp and one of them sells different types of games. I messaged him and he sent different designs of chess sets. At first, I was skeptical and didn't want to buy it online, but after deliberating for a few minutes, I decided to take the risk.
After completing the transaction, he sent the chess set the next day. Unlike “what I ordered versus what I got,” this was a different case. I was happy that I got the chess set from the online vendor. I have been using it for about 1 year now.

my share
This happened sometime last week. I was craving something yummy- Sardine, chilled drink, bread, egg and butter. I wanted to enjoy myself. I told @princessbusayo and some of my neoxian friends about it and they told me to go for it. Princess said since it wouldn't cost more than $5, I should go for it. I headed out to buy the stuff. I spent a total of 4000 Naira which is about $4. Princess was right, it didn't cost up to $5. I bought 3 sardines, butter, a loaf of bread, eggs and 3 gold drinks. I wanted to enjoy it with my sisters, so I bought it in excess.
I fried the eggs and toasted the bread, and we all sat down at the dining table to demolish it. I noticed that the drinks tasted differently, but the bread and sardine was so delicious that I couldn't resist it. It wasn't until we had eaten it halfway that we noticed that the drink had expired 6 months ago. My taste buds were in a state of shock, unable to process what I had just tasted. I was dumbfounded. My sisters stopped and had almost finished their share, so they just threw everything away. I teleported to REGRETSVILE immediately. I also threw the drink away, but I ate my bread and sardine. We didn't know what to do, so we just drank lots of water, hoping it would dilute the expired drinks (haha). Luckily, nothing happened to us.
