Holidays are times when people assumingly stay off work so as to relax and cash up with other activities which their work didn't permit them to attend to that's conventionally though. Some offices both private and government established do have what is called leave and during this period it is expected that an allowance be paid to cover some extra costs which one may incur at this time. Most private organisations do no take this so seriously as they want to drain it's works of even the last energy, this is one major reason I don't which to work with them because they in most cases think selfishly down to when someone is I'll they will still require that the person goes to work or have his salary deducted. Government owned establishments in most cases are reasonable though some people will want to over use the privilege that's why some government owned agencies are a shadow of itself.
Back to the topic, my holiday starts when my kids holiday starts, yes you heard me. As a family woman on a daily basis I attend to the kids school work, taking them to school and back daily can be so demanding as a parent. Some days I feel like catching some extra sleep but because the kids need to be in school I will not consider that so much. But immediately they are done with their exams they are required to stay home until the result is ready coupling with the economic challenges.
But our main holiday starts off today with a Christmas Party/Cultural Day. Yeah!!!!! These kids have been looking forward to this day as they will also be receiving their term result. Trust parents, I have promised lots of gift for the persons with good grade and average and am bent on making that come true. Last year's Christmas break we traveled to my home town to spend some time with them coupled with my brothers wedding which at the end there was failure from the lady. This time will be spending the break with my immediate family because am not so moved to travel. It is going to be so unusual of us but as the economy is also usual I have learnt to do things in an unusual way. All my calculations at the moment is how to feed my family and have a better beginning for them next term. So I have decided to stay with them, I will try my best to have the kids needs met so they will also have stories to tell when they return to school by next year.
Now is not the time to please anyone in the name of celebrating Christmas. Food and the stuff for preparing it is on a high side and we don't have to borrow to eat as I see that as a useless thing to do not that people are not doing it around us but that's not wisdom at all.
