Freedom Of Procreation

There has been a tremendous increase in the population over the past few years and this has been an ongoing phenomenon.
It is easily noticed when you compare the population in a sector to what was previously obtainable.
For example, the number of students in a class now and the number of students in same class about 10 years ago. The number of motorists in a car park now and the number previously there, etc.

It has some advantages and also disadvantages although at face value, the disadvantages outweigh the advantages. Especially when considering the scarce resources which we are all struggling for.

But should the government offer incentives inorder to encourage families to not go beyond a number of offsprings?
That would not be totally bad. Those who need the incentive would try to abide by it while those who wish to stick to the advantages that comes with a large house would forgo the incentive.

The economic crisis is not such a difficult thing for government to tackle if Indeed that's what they want. Putting all the blame on the population explosion is a very dishonest take but then, that's what governments are good at doing.

Policies to better the economy are seldom brought up and even then, they are not projected or pushed to achieve relevance. Rather those policies which help the select few to enrich their pocket goes the whole length despite public outrage, outcry and protests.

I am of the opinion that government having such an incentive would be good, especially for those families who are careless with procreation despite being in poverty. It would increase carefulness because they need the money and the children are usually unplanned for.

Then for those families who deliberately wish to be large, they would be able to go ahead and give birth to as many as they wish. This would be a good policy that way.

In the long run, small families would become the norm and in a few years, the reverse would be the case as government would now be dishing incentives for those who produce large families.
This would be at a time when it seems like the human population is beginning to decline in number.

No number is ideal for a family and many factors come into play in deciding how many a family would be.
There are incidences of wanting two children but producing 4 in just one pregnancy.

There are also instances of people wanting many but not being able to produce as much as they want. It is a very dynamic phenomena.
