Omoh, throwing up as a result of alcohol can be very disgusting. The day a friend threw up at my place, I went to sleep in a hotel that night because the thing choked me.
I bet your friend won't try alcohol again and since it was his first time, he should have thread gently.
The part where they throw up is very disgusting. I wouldn't even think of cleaning it up. You did well to sleep in a hotel. I'd do the same.
