RE: Breaking Free; Overcoming Obstacles To Personal Growth.

in Hive Learners10 months ago

You're looking forward to a great year, but it's true that the path you've chosen can be difficult to follow. Fighting deeply ingrained habits like procrastination requires both determination and patience. I have somewhat similar goals to yours for several years, so I can relate to your post.

Here's what I do:

  1. I set specific and achievable goals while making sure they are measurable to track my progress. In addition, I make sure my goals are truly personal and truly motivate me (this is the hardest part as it requires introspection, you really have to go deep in the search for goals).
  2. I make plans, but I leave some gaps to allow for flexibility. Having a plan lets you know where you're going. A plan can change, but it's good to write it down anyway because it allows for a better vision.
  3. Don't hesitate to ask for help. It took me a long time to accept this because I am a lone wolf. It's still hard for me today, but it's so important. Sometimes, you simply can't handle everything on your own.

I can tell that you have so much experience and knowledge with handling this thing called procrastination. It seems this is one thing a lot of people have/are struggling with so seeing someone who has conquered the habit is a blessing.

Thanks for the advice, I will definitely apply them and believe it would give me the desired result.

Cheers to a beautiful weekend.
