‎It is that time of the year once again, when we gather in twos and threes to celebrate the end of the year. It is one of the most popular celebration across the world. Everyone must have been planning how to celebrate or a while now, it is a right everyone is entitled to but how a person celebrates tends to depend on a person's financial capacity. It is one of the clause that comes with the Season, everyone wants to do something nice by buying new clothes, going to nice places and so on. As beautiful as this might seem, we wouldn't want to do something that would harm us financially, well not everyone cares, some only live in the moment.

‎For me, I don't joke with my finances, in fact every single penny I spend was planned for, I'm not a fan of impulse buying or doing things to please others. With the current situation of the country, everyone is affected in one way or the other, one of the few ways we can ensure we spend within budget is to plan ahead.

‎I'm sure not everyone is like me but it would be nice if that was true. There are plans I have for next year that demands heavy funds, though I might not be anywhere close to saving up all the funds needed but I'm not planning to waste the little I have been able to gather. Despite being the type that dwells alone, I still wish to celebrate the festivity without breaking my bank or if possible, I shouldn't spend at all.

‎Firstly, every funds that I know I wouldn't be in need of has been locked till next year, even the coins in my portfolio, most of it have been staked, just in case I start getting any wrong ideas. You see, we humans are naturally moved by pleasurable things . Moving forward, how else do I celebrate the festivity without exhausting my own funds, well the best of it all is by celebrating with my family. Though we have roles we play in the celebration but not entirely monetary roles, more like individual duty.

‎Since I'm already in Lagos with my family, celebrating without spending a penny is already guaranteed lol. I have already made few trips to the market to get few things that might rise when the Christmas rumble begins. Most essential and non perishable stuff have been bought. The rest will be purchased gradually as time goes on. My family don't joke with festivity, it is one big happy family gathering that last for days. The only thing I should worry about now is my driving duties, since I'm at home early, I'm already my parents personal driver lol.

‎I don't have any personal plans apart from the plans my parents have and my family have varieties of options to get things from, especially things we can get from our farm without having to buy it in the market. So I believe I wouldn't be injuring myself financial during the festivity, though this does not apply to everyone but then, I believe everyone can still manage to cut their coat according to their size.

The phrase has been changed o because if we continue to pass our boundaries 🤣 It is no longer "cut your coat according to your size but now it's known as cut your coat according to the materials you have"
Well said, my brother 👍

Oh alright
But we still have to learn to cut the coat first 😅

Congratulations!
