Another week, another new writings for Hive Learner. Today I want to share some thought about Lab Rat.. However.. It is weird isn't it, I am talking about Rat but my thumb pic is a gato. Well, I have a commitment to only share about cat pics here on Hive Learner, for how long, how far? I don't know, let see how far I can keep going with this.
Before I start, I want to talk about Professional Detainee. It is a weird job, and it's existence is in denial by any law officials.
A decade ago, I met some old dude which was an ex partner of my father friend. He had a business that went into bad condition. He had to fire out all his staffs, ran the company himself and had many tax issues.
One day I called text from my father friend, saying "look at the TV". I turned the channel to the news channel he mentioned, and I saw that dude in the screen. He got caught by the police and became the biggest drug lord they caught that year. I was laughing and sad at the same time. This dude was so dumb that he had to say in Jail for 20 years.
However that was a weird thing actually, because the court law should give him a death execution that time... and many weird things were to follow years later. Suddenly his wife bought a big house in a resort area, it was like a penthouse mansion in movie. Then all his children went to USA to study abroad. His family lived not in struggle, economically they became powerful.
So I talk to his friends, including my father friend, and we all believed all of the raid, getting him into the jail, and how he became a drug lord... all were staged. We believed he got some deal, replacing the real drug lord and got massive compensation. From someone who lost everything due to bankruptcy to someone who left a big fortune for his family.
Ok, so what the connection with a Lab Rat?

Ok here is the deal, Being a Lab Rat and A Detainee is actually a bit similar. Part of your human rights are taken away, and you lose some privileges too. One thing for sure, the biggest difference is that a detainee gets detained from his action breaking the law, and get sentenced to jail. A Lab Rat doesn't due anything, he or she loses everything because something within their body.
Let say, you have a special body, you have genes that prune to certain disease. This is not a dream, this is a fact. There are people out there who have HIV or Aid resistance. They have gene and DNA that make their body immune to that virus, so even they make unprotected sexual or intercourse with HIV infected people, they still do not get infected too.
Right now DNA are mainly used for preventive and protective Healthcare. The rest are mostly still under development or in on-going research. One of the research is about Cancer Vaccines which is made by DNA too.
Speaking about Cancer, what I know there are a couple study about them which are related to DNA and gene, there might be more but I have a limited knowledge here...
- NK cells. NK stands for natural killer, so some people have NK cells means that their have hyperactive cells that are very effective at killing pre cancerous cells. These people may have immune systems that are superb at detecting and destroying cancer cells early on.
- TP3 Super Variants. I really do not know in detail, but some people, very rarely, have gene that extraordinary repaired damaged DNA or replacing it a lot better than a normal human. This is not a superior gene but more like a mutated gene that somehow kills cancer.
But what if... somehow you are super human in term that somehow your gene can be used to cure Cancer? Ok here is the deal, first thing I can suggest you is that don't be naive and stupid.
Sometime Naive and Stupid come in one single package. To be able to utilize your gene into a developed ready to use medicine, they will put you in lab, so you will become a Lab Rat. Do not think that you will be a super hero here, that's naive and stupid. I talked about TP 3 supervariant and NK cells before right? Those were based on researches on humans. So who were they? They had name, right?
They were not killed for those researches anyway, but their name are not important at all. They were the lab rats. So if you sacrifice into Lab Rat, you are not a hero. People won't care about you and your name won't be sounded around the globe even you gene manage to become the first medicine for Cancer of maybe more deadly disease.
Remember the story I told you earlier in this post about professional detainee. Do like that one, if you get into Lab Rat, ask for a proper remuneration and compensation. At least you must get something that can make your family rich and free of financial issue. And don't be naive because even your sacrifice manage to give the world the cure or perhaps a holy grail of Jesus Itself, your name would not be there and you won't be acknowledge as the hero.
Think wise, don't be naive, and don't do something stupid based on your imagination. Nothing wrong with sacrificing yourself for greater good, but think about your family too. They need you more than the world need you.
