Hello Everyone
Have you got any plan for your next holidays? This is a simple question, but I think everyone will respond differently. Anyway I am not talking about holidays as if for the days for cultural or religious events.
I am talking about holidays for a vacation. A break from your routine jobs or your study. The most favorite holidays that come up in, I believe majority of people around this globe, is about traveling abroad or doing some adventurous journey that are looked very cool in your social media.
What kind of adventurous act that can be cool? well, I saw before some people got into a cage and they are dipped into the ocean to see the great white shark from close. That's cool anyway, you might end up become their food LoL Just kidding anyway.
Ok everyone might have their plans for their next, if you haven't got one, you might plan it from now.
Urban Exploration
My next holidays... I already have some plans for it anyway and I can tell you that none of them are Grand Adventurous journey or traveling to famous spots abroad. I just want to do some urban exploration, in my own city, Jakarta.
There is another city nearby, Bandung. I want to visit and stay there for some days, because I have plenty to catch up in that city. I have lived around 7 years there, finishing my studies. I have some old acquaintances there and I really love to see them agian.
So If I recap my plan in a simple word, it will be an urban exploration... again LoL. Urban exploration is actually the same as city sight seeing, so you just wonder around your city. It is a new vocab that I think younger generation might accept better as a holiday activity, rather than city sight seeing.
So most of the time my activities are heavily around having a good staycation. I will pick some good hotels or maybe a villa if I end up bringing some of my family. A place that I can travel from easily, so it will not somewhere in the peak of mountain or floating villa in some lakes.
I will love to see some old places where I used to hang around in the past... two decades ago. Getting new viral or trending dishes and cuisines are one of my goals too.
So what do you think about my plan? Too lame? LoL
Life of A Cat Person
Anyway I am a cat person, as for you who might not familiar about this, a Cat person is not about a person who loves cats. By posting many cats pictures it doesn't make a person a cat person too. Having a lot of cats in their home does't make them a cat person too.
We are called cat person because we have many traits, personality and behavior, that reassemble a cat. We are independent, introverted, and most likely we are self-sufficient. We do not need many people or being seen as the center of the stage. Most of us enjoy solitude and living in our own personal space, just like cats.
The opposite of us is a Dog Person, and outgoing adventurous, loyal and energic, and so on... You know what a dog is like.
These categorization is not somewhat that is valid, but it helps a lot of people to understand better and simpler about how people are in some area.
For a cat person, most of the time holidays are times for ourselves, when we have our own me time to get away from stressful daily routine. So having a great adventurous sight seeing into another country or a massive luxurious cruise, and any sort of "GREAT HOLIDAY" are not our things. It is not like we don't enjoy them, we love it and sometime we crave for it, but it is not something that mandatory must have in holidays.
For me, having freedom to choose when to sleep, when to get up, getting a great meals on breakfast-lunch-dinner is always welcomed and can be considered part of good holidays. I can be very happy spending weekends sleeping and watching Netflix, or maybe going out to another city just to meet old friends.
I know for some of you, especially dog persons, seeing what I write here seems very lame. But it is what it is, for me holidays aren't about grand adventures. It is about having my ultimate me time, having everything in a slow pace, getting time and resource to recharge myself, and enjoying some personal moments who I might be the only one who can understand it.
It is about making my own world a bit brighter and tidier...
