I'm a very clean, tidy person. From my physical looks to my environment, I make sure everything is spotless. It's something that I can't help. Dirt, of any kind, is what I can't stand. I believe strongly that when asked about attributes about me that is liked, a good deal of people who know me from my family through to friends and even acquaintances would mention cleanliness. And if you've been following my blog for a while now, then you may have come across articles where I mentioned how much I love things around me looking pristine. But, the truth is... I don't have money.
Frankly, I don't see the correlation between those two - money and cleanliness. It's just the same way that I don't see how looking good and having money have to be a pair. I do understand, of course, that money is needed to get stuff to appear good but then, one can easily pull off looking neat and trim by washing and ironing their clothes and then practicing good personal hygiene. Plus, some squared-up shoulder and chin held high. It's that simple.
Being neat has nothing to do with having money. There are wealthy people who are tacky, just as there are poor people who are very neat. And vice versa. Now, what has money got to do with taking proper care of oneself; like bathing regularly, wearing clean clothes, brushing well, grooming oneself, clearing one's space, doing the dishes, mopping the floors and keeping one's environment clean? Just what? Being neat is an individual habit-ttype thing.
I'm a sucker for neat things and people. I get irritated very easily by tiny bits of dirt. From my looks to my environment, I'm the kind who is never tired of keeping things in order. I mean, I get irritated by a chipped nail polish, and I don't even dare throw my litter(like an empty water sachet) on the roadside irrespective of how dirty that place already is. If I could say I was perfect at anything, it would be this category of stuff, yet how much do I have?
People who say that they need money to stay neat, frankly, would come off to me as individuals who seek a reason to validate their laziness. Irrespective of how they may conjure it up to try to make sense, it will all be dumb to me.
If you're not a neat person, then you're not. Swimming in wealth wouldn't make you any more tidy than you already are. Except, of course, rather than bathe yourself regularly with clean water, you'd rather bathe with expensive perfumes on a dirty body, which would just help with amplifying your odor and proving how raggity you are. Cleanliness is not a function of money. Your habits and lifestyle is. How would saying 'i need to be wealthy before i can do my laundry or before i can put my house in order' ever even make sense? Money wouldn't make a dirty human neat. For all we know, it will only just reveal your true self more.
Thanks for gracing this post.
