It's not quite easy for the surrogate mother to automatically detach herself from the baby, it sometimes feels so real to the extent of her thinking it's hers, she goes through the whole pregnancy stage; pica, back pain, and sometimes heartburn.

A surrogate mother having a say in the child’s life depends on the contract agreement but the truth is, the child is not genetically hers.
